Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 took Game of the Year at the 29th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards. Organized by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, the event was held on Feb 12, 2026, in Las Vegas. The peer-voted ceremony, determined by the Academy’s global membership of more than 30K industry professionals, awarded the title five honors overall.
Alongside the top prize, the game won Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction, Outstanding Achievement in Story, Role-Playing Game of the Year, and Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction. Sandfall Interactive co-founder, François Meurisse, accepted the Game of the Year award during the ceremony.
Winners List Highlights Craft, Genre, and Technical Excellence
Other games with widespread recognition include Ghost of Yōtei, which won three awards. These included Outstanding Achievement in Character for Atsu, Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition, and Adventure Game of the Year.
Meanwhile, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach earned awards for Outstanding Achievement in Audio Design and Outstanding Technical Achievement. Blue Prince won Outstanding Achievement for an Independent Game and Outstanding Achievement in Game Design.

“The games recognized at this year’s D.I.C.E. Awards showcase the extraordinary range of talent and creativity that define our industry,” said Academy president Meggan Scavio, pointing to innovation, storytelling, and player experience.
At The Game Awards 2025 on Dec 11, the title secured nine wins, including Game of the Year. It also earned honors for game direction, narrative, art direction, performance, score, and multiple genre categories.
The sweep positioned the game among the year’s most decorated releases, reinforcing its standing across both peer-voted and global industry awards circuits. The latest D.I.C.E. recognition adds to Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s broader momentum in awards.
