Sony has unveiled a limited-edition Marvel’s Wolverine PlayStation 5 (PS5) lineup ahead of Insomniac Games’ action game, which launches Sep 15, 2026. Pre-orders for the hardware and accessories begin Aug 19, 2026, with products available in limited quantities.
Sony has not disclosed a unit count.
The main offering is the PS5 Digital Edition Marvel’s Wolverine Battle Yellow Limited Edition Bundle. Inspired by Insomniac’s Battle Reborn suit, the console features a black-and-yellow design with claw marks that expose parts of its internal structure. The matching DualSense uses similar claw and scuff details.
The $649.99 USD bundle includes the PS5 Digital Edition, limited-edition console covers, a matching DualSense, and a download code for Marvel’s Wolverine. The code requires a PlayStation account and internet connection to redeem.

Sony is also selling the accessories separately, allowing existing PS5 and PS5 Pro owners to use the themed designs on their consoles.

The Battle Yellow covers are compatible with slim PS5 CFI-2000 models with or without disc drives. Both PS5 Pro cover designs support consoles with or without disc drives. The Adamantium versions use a metallic finish based on the metal bonded to Wolverine’s skeleton and claws.
Standalone accessory availability varies by region and retailer, while the game is sold separately.
Where to Buy Marvel’s Wolverine PS5 Accessories
Pre-orders begin Aug 19, 2026, at 7 am PT/10 am ET in the U.S. and 10 am local time across supported European markets. Buyers can order through direct.playstation.com where available and select retailers outside those regions. Direct PlayStation availability includes France, the U.S., the U.K., Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Luxembourg, Italy, and Austria.
Eligible direct pre-orders receive free launch-day delivery.
Sony developed the designs with Insomniac Games and Marvel Games, with Scottish artist Jock contributing to the artwork. Jock stated that the goal was to show Wolverine at his “fiercest,” while Insomniac’s Marcus Smith described the illustrations as “grounded and raw.”
Sony’s Marvel’s Wolverine hardware follows a format it has used for other major PlayStation releases. The Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 collaboration similarly combined a themed PS5, matching DualSense, and separately sold console covers. Meanwhile, Ghost of Yōtei later offered limited-edition consoles, covers, and controllers.
