Pre-sales and pre-orders will open via YG Select’s Korea, English, Japanese and Chinese online stores at 9 a.m. KST on August 8. Select offline locations, including Deaseum stores in Hapjeong, Insa and Myeongdong, will begin sales in September this year.
Visual Lore of BLACKPINK x MU:DS Collection
The collection features BLACKPINK’s signature black-and-pink palette. The pink moon jar integrates the rounded silhouette of traditional Korean porcelain moon jars, while having a black interior finish and pink exterior with a decorative element tied around the top.
The folding fan showcases a black-and-pink gradient shades, while the Chambit Norigae keyring merges a fine-toothed comb design with the traditional knot ornament. The keyring has a black and pink version, with knot ornament having the opposite color.

The soju glass set and cutlery set also blends daily use items with heritage motifs. The cutlery design references the “Husoo,” a decorative element associated with traditional royal attire. As per the YG Select store on Instagram, most of the designs’ inspiration comes from the “Jeokui,” a ceremonial robe worn by the highest-ranking women of the Joseon Dynasty and Korean Empire.
Museum Merchandise Market Expands with Entertainment Collaborations
The BLACKPINK collection adds to MU:DS’ strategy of turning museum collections and Korean cultural assets into consumer products. Previously, the merchandise arm also collaborated with BTS for the rollout of similar products.
MU:DS, reportedly recorded ₩21.8 billion (~ $15 million) in first-half 2026 sales, up about 90% from a year earlier as demand for Korean cultural artifacts grew as collaborations with entertainment IPs expanded.
For entertainment companies, such merch offers another avenue to capitalize occasions such as artist anniversaries beyond music releases and concerts. Apart from such heritage collections, BLACKPINK has expanded its global commercial footprint across fashion, luxury partnerships and other branded products.
