BTS member Jimin’s shirt, which he wore during the 2026 World Cup final halftime show, was sold for $110,000 USD at Christie's charity auction that raised $652,630 USD overall to support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. The online fundraiser, which closed on July 29, 2026, after a seven-day run, had bidders participating from across 24 countries. Notably, not just Jimin’s items, but products worn by his BTS bandmates have also fetched significant prices.
BTS Memorabilia Drives 46% of Total Sales
As reported by Korea JoongAngDaily, seven wardrobe items worn by the group at their Dynamite performance produced $300,300, which is about 46% of the event's total proceeds. According to the publication, the final hammer prices exceeded Christie's pre-auction valuations, which had estimated each BTS lot at $1,000 to $5,000.
Although Jimin's shirt, crafted by Agro Studio, matched the highest bid of the entire sale at $110,000, equaling the official 2026 World Cup final match ball price, V and Jungkook drove significant proceeds as well. The two BTS members wore scarves and a jacket, respectively, which generated $46,200 each. On the other hand, the pants worn by Suga brought $33,000. J-Hope’s gloves, meanwhile, closed at $28,600, whereas boots worn by RM sold for $19,800. Last but not least, a belt worn by Jin raised $16,500 in funds.
Cross-Industry Items Support Youth Football and Education
While the K-pop titans drove volume, other sports and pop culture icons helped to bring the total to the final figure. A signed Argentina national team jersey gifted by Lionel Messi to singer Shakira sold for $66,000.
Meanwhile, autographed fingerless gloves worn by Madonna during the halftime show's opening sequence generated $41,800. A pair of Skylrk sneakers worn by Justin Bieber during his acoustic performance of Everything Hallelujah sold for $26,400.
Notably, all net proceeds from the auction will go directly to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. Christie's confirmed the capital will support the educational programs and increase football access for children in underserved communities globally.
