- EXO's REVERXE sold over 1 million copies in just over five weeks, making it the group's eighth million-seller across a discography that stretches back to 2013's XOXO (Kiss & Hug).
- The album reached No. 1 on iTunes in 48 countries and topped major charts in China and South Korea, including five Tencent Music platforms.
- EXO will launch their sixth world tour, EXO PLANET #6 – EXhOrizon, with a three-night Seoul residency beginning April 10.
K-pop group EXO has added another million-seller to its catalog. The group's latest studio album, REVERXE, crossed 1 million copies sold within just over five weeks of release, according to SM Entertainment, the agency behind the act. That makes it EXO's eighth album to hit the milestone, a run that began with XOXO (Kiss & Hug) in 2013 and most recently included EXIST in 2023.
The result lands at a time when K-pop's physical album exports crossed $300 million even as domestic sales have softened, with overseas demand, particularly from Japan, China, and the United States, propping up the industry's revenue model. REVERXE's numbers suggest EXO still commands a sizable share of that international buyer base after a multi-year absence from group releases.
How REVERXE Performed Across Global Music Charts
Released on January 19, 2026, REVERXE debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes Top Albums chart in 48 countries. The album's chart performance extended well beyond Apple's storefront:
- In China, REVERXE topped the consolidated K-pop chart across all five Tencent Music platforms, earned Triple Platinum certification, and ranked first on QQ Music's weekly digital album chart.
- In South Korea, it claimed the top spot on both the Hanteo Weekly Album Chart and the Circle Retail Album Chart.
- The album's title track, "Crown," described by fans as a return to SM's signature "SMP style" of production, won five Korean music show awards, including Music Bank and Inkigayo. The song's music video has accumulated over 40 million YouTube views.
These physical distribution numbers are notable given broader market conditions. At its commercial peak in Q4 2018, EXO accounted for roughly 31% of SM Entertainment's quarterly revenue, the highest share among all the agency's acts at the time. That proportion has since shifted as SM has accelerated U.S. debut timelines for newer groups, but REVERXE's sales indicate the group retains significant commercial pull.
The release also arrives under unusual circumstances. Three EXO members, Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin, who together form the subunit EXO-CBX, are not part of this album cycle. The trio is currently locked in a legal dispute with SM Entertainment, which moved to seize their personal assets as part of a billion-dollar legal action. REVERXE's million-seller status was reached without their participation.
EXO's Sixth World Tour: What We Know About EXhOrizon
Off the back of the album's performance, EXO has announced their sixth concert tour: EXO PLANET #6 – EXhOrizon. The tour opens with a three-night stand at Seoul's KSPO Dome from April 10 to 12 before expanding to international dates.
The tour positions REVERXE's tracklist as the commercial anchor for EXO's 2026 live schedule. For SM Entertainment, it also tests whether a veteran group's touring revenue can complement the agency's investment in younger rosters. K-pop's physical album economy still depends heavily on collectible goods and concert merchandise as a revenue flywheel, and EXO's global fanbase has historically been one of the industry's most reliable concert-going audiences.
Additional tour dates and cities have not yet been announced.
