OnePlus Announces BGMI College Event With INR 600,000 Prize Pool
OnePlus launches Campus Dominate BGMI tournament with ₹6 lakh prize pool and Nord 5 phones for winners.
Top-performing teams earn slots at BGMI Master Series Season 3, offering a path to the pro scene.
Registration open to Indian college students until July 12, capped at 1,280 teams via random draw if oversubscribed.
Smartphone manufacturer OnePlus has announced Campus Dominate – Road to BGMS, a nationwide, college-only Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) tournament featuring an INR 600,000 (~$7,200) prize pool.
Aside from the prize money, the winning team will also receive the OnePlus Nord 5 phones. Additionally, the winning team and the team with the highest cumulative kills in the Grand Finals of the OnePlus Campus Dominate tournament will get slots at the upcoming BGMI Master Series Season 3 (BGMS 2025) tournament.
“Gaming is at the heart of OnePlus’ community spirit,” said Marcel Campos, director of product strategy at OnePlus India in a release., “With Campus Dominate, we’re empowering student gamers with a real chance to go pro. The tournament reflects our commitment to high-performance devices like the Nord 5 and CE5, which bring top-tier gaming features to more users than ever before.”
Registrations for Campus Dominate are open to all college students across India until July 12. However, the upper cap for competing teams is 1,280. In the event that eligible registrations reach the cap, a random draw will be conducted to select the final set of teams.
To register, the participants must meet the following criteria:
1. All players must be 18 years of age or older.
2. Must be currently enrolled as a college student in India.
3. Must have a BGMI account level 20 or above.
Eligible players can head over to the official OnePlus Community page to register for Campus Dominate.
OnePlus maintains a growing presence in India’s esports ecosystem. The brand is returning as title sponsor and official smartphone partner for BGMS 2025, marking a second consecutive year in partnership with Nodwin Gaming.
BGMI commands a massive footprint in Indian esports. Since its July 2021 launch, the game registered over 100 million downloads. BGMS is now one of India’s most prominent BGMI leagues, managed by Krafton with Nodwin, and broadcast on Star Sports. The upcoming Season 3 of the league boasts a staggering INR 10,000,000 ($119,000) prize pool.
Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2025, another big BGMI tournament, is also right around the corner and it’s slated to take place at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi, from July 4 to 6. BMPS 2025 features a prize pool of INR 2,000,000 ($23,377).
