Clash Royale League 2025: New Format and Venue Drive Engagement

The 2025 season introduced a community-focused format with four organizer-led events that offered leaderboard points and special Golden and Silver Tickets to qualify for the World Finals. Each event featured a $50K prize pool, expanding participation across regions.

This year’s finals also increased the player roster from eight to twelve competitors, creating a more competitive double-elimination bracket. Meanwhile, reigning champion Mohamed Light appeared in the two most-watched matches, the Grand Final against Sub and the Lower Bracket Final against Pedro “Pedro” Sousa, both contributing to the highest viewership peaks.

YouTube was the leading platform with 404,207 peak viewers, compared to Twitch’s 188,085. The English-language broadcast recorded 333,465 peak viewers, followed by Portuguese and Spanish streams. Creator jynxzi attracted 78,377 concurrent viewers on Twitch, making it the event’s most-watched individual stream.

Supercell also held the CRL 2025 Awards at DreamHack Atlanta, giving fans the chance to vote for the best plays and standout moments from the season.

The record-breaking viewership reinforces Clash Royale’s position as a leading mobile esports, and highlights Supercell’s success in strengthening community engagement through new competitive formats.
