King Pro League 2025 Finals Match Tickets Sold Out in 12 Seconds

It took merely 12 seconds to sell out all the tickets for the championship match of the King Pro League Grand Finals 2025, said Honor of Kings publisher, Tencent Games. The event is slated to happen on November 8 at 5:30 PM (GMT+8).

This is the second edition of the King Pro League Grand Finals, after it replaced the former event, International Championship. The twelve teams that have qualified are competing for a prize pool of ¥70 million (~ $9.8 million USD).

It will be interesting to see the match as the defending champions AG Super Play has already secured its place in the final. The group defeated Weibo Gaming in a 4-1 win in the upper-bracket finals.

King Pro League Grand Finals 2025: Venue & Live Broadcast Channels

Music artists Han Hong and Zhou Shen will add to the spectacle by singing the 2025 theme song "神驰的属地" live at the venue, which is the iconic Beijing National Stadium in China that reportedly holds about 91,000 spectators (80,000 permanent + 11,000 extra). Notably, this stadium, also known as Bird’s Nest for its skeletal structure, was built specifically for the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics. 

The song “神驰的属地” (Shén chí de shǔ dì), which translates to The Realm of Spirit and Glory, may enhance the event's energy and emotional intensity, honoring the passion, endurance, and victory that define the competitive spirit of esports. Much like the FIFA World Cup's legendary anthems, it brings spectators together through song, emotion, and a shared feeling of success, converting the championship into an unforgettable experience that reverberates far beyond the arena.

Watching the event live would have been a lifetime experience for fans; however, given the fact that tickets were sold out so quickly, many fans were upset about not being able to procure tickets. Nevertheless, the event can be watched at home as a live broadcast will be shared through the official Honor of Kings esports YouTube channel and other streaming platforms such as Rednote.

Esports Sector - China: What Does this Indicate?

This rapid sell-out is based on the global esports' growth, as well as the rising popularity of the mobile esports' scene in China. Around mid-October, the showdown between T1 and Invictus Gaming at the League of Legends (LoL) Worlds 2025 broke the global viewership records with over 2.5 million viewers watching the event live. The LoL 2025 was held for the third time in China, with a significant number of Chinese viewers contributing to the record. 

Back in September of this year, China saw a significant interest from Savvy Games Group, backed by Saudi Arabia’s $38 billion USD Public Investment Fund (PIF) for multibillion-dollar deals in the esports sector. This is the same fund that is also involved in the huge EA-acquisition deal.

These facts show that the esports sector is seeing a rising consumer demand and an increased brand investment from global players in the market. As strategies align internationally, China is set to host what fans perceive as "the biggest esports finals this year," a milestone that blends gaming, entertainment, and sports, while establishing itself as a global esports center.
