Niantic is pulling out all the stops for the tenth anniversary of Pokémon GO, officially bringing the highly anticipated Pokémon GO Fest 2026 to three major Indian cities. Trainers in Bengaluru, Mumbai, and New Delhi are invited to join the worldwide celebration on July 11 and 12, 2026. Unlike typical ticketed events, these are open, citywide gatherings designed to bring the community together to trade, battle, and celebrate the game’s milestone anniversary.
The events will run from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. IST each day, giving players plenty of time to build their raid squads and tackle the weekend’s biggest challenge: the debut of Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y in Super Mega Raid Battles. Beyond the intense raid environment, these gatherings are designed to be a social hub where players can connect, with local Community Ambassadors on-site to help coordinate gameplay for both new and veteran trainers.
Where to Join the Festivities
Niantic has secured iconic public spaces in each city to serve as the heart of the celebration. Fans can head to the following locations to participate:
- Bengaluru: Freedom Park, Seshadri Road, Gandhi Nagar.
- Mumbai: Carter Road, Bandra West.
- New Delhi: Baansera Park, Sarai Kale Khan.
Each venue will feature a dedicated pop-up experience complete with photo opportunities and official giveaways. Attendees who check in at these locations will receive special Timed Research tasks, unlocking rare Pokémon encounters and essential in-game items, as per IGN.
Niantic is also running a giveaway program throughout the weekend where trainers can earn codes for valuable items, including Link Charges and Poké Balls. While the in-person events will be the center of the action, these celebrations are part of the larger Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global event, meaning players will also have access to global Special Research that includes the debut of the Mythical Pokémon Zeraora.
Meet Your Favorite Creators
The energy at the parks will be amped up by some of India’s most popular gaming personalities, who will be joining the festivities on the ground to play alongside the community:
- Mumbai: Content creator Ashish Chanchlani will be leading the charge at Carter Road.
- New Delhi: Gaming favorites Nischay Malhan (Triggered Insaan) and Ujjwal Chaurasia (Techno Gamerz) will be hosting the community at Baansera Park.
These local activations are part of a broader Asia-Pacific rollout, ensuring that Indian players are fully integrated into the global weekend rather than waiting for regional updates. Whether you are hunting for Mega Mewtwo or just looking to meet fellow trainers, these events provide the perfect environment to celebrate the game's tenth anniversary.
While the community gears up for the festival, The Pokémon Company has also expanded its offerings with the launch of Pokémon Champions. This new turn-based, battle-focused title is now available for both Android and iOS, providing a fresh way for players to engage with Pokémon battles on the go.
