Subway Surfers And Among Us Announce Massive Crossover Event

Get ready to dodge trains, grind rails, and keep a suspicious eye on your fellow surfers. In a collaboration, two absolute giants, Subway Surfers and Among Us, are mashing up their worlds for a massive crossover event.

Developers SYBO and Innersloth are kicking off a limited-time event on October 20 that will bring the beloved, bean-shaped Crewmates and the thrill of social deduction to the vibrant, fast-paced streets of Subway Surfers.

Running for three weeks until November 3, the "Among Us Staged City Tour" is more than just a cosmetic change. It’s introducing a whole new way to play. The main event is a brand-new in-game challenge called “Find the Impostor”, which cleverly weaves the core mystery of Among Us directly into your daily run. 

As you dash through the city, you’ll have to be on the lookout to uncover a hidden impostor, adding a thrilling layer of suspense to the classic endless runner formula.

Players can also unlock six new characters that blend the iconic Crewmate design with familiar Subway Surfers faces, including Crewmate Jake, Crewmate Tricky, Crewmate Spike, and Crewmate Guard. Exclusive Among Us-themed hoverboards will also be available to collect.

Subway Surfers x Among Us Crossover Details

This partnership unites two titans of the industry. Subway Surfers has cemented its legacy by surpassing an incredible four billion lifetime downloads, according to data from SYBO. Meanwhile, Among Us became a global cultural phenomenon, reaching a peak of nearly half a billion monthly active users in late 2020, as reported by SuperData. 

This collaboration leverages the massive, dedicated player bases of both games to create a unique shared experience.

This collaboration is the latest in a series of successful team-ups for SYBO. “We constantly aim to provide fresh ways for players to engage with the world of Subway Surfers, and our recent collaborations with Brawl Stars, 8 Ball Pool, and Crossy Road showed us firsthand how excited our community was to see their favourite games collide,” said Mathias Gredal Nørvig, CEO of SYBO.
