Hit thrillers Agent Kim Reactivated and Teach You a Lesson sweep the top two spots on Netflix's global chart
Korean Dramas Take Top Two Spots on Netflix's Non-English TV Chart
A new SBS thriller unseats the school drama that had led the chart for a month
Highlights
- Agent Kim Reactivated hit No. 1 with 10.5 million views in the week ended July 5, ending Teach You a Lesson's four-week run at the top.
- Teach You a Lesson fell to No. 2 with 4.7 million views and remains in the Top 10 in 54 countries in its fifth week.
- Korean-language titles are Netflix's most-watched category outside English, and the company laid out 34 Korean titles for 2026 in January.
The revenge thriller Agent Kim Reactivated took the No. 1 spot on Netflix's Global Top 10 Non-English TV chart in the week ended July 5, unseating Teach You a Lesson after a four-week run at the top and giving Korean series both of the chart's leading positions.
Agent Kim Reactivated leads in 11 countries
The SBS series, which streams on Netflix, drew 10.5 million views and 44.1 million hours viewed in the tracking week. It stars So Ji-sub as an ordinary father with a hidden past who goes looking for his missing daughter.
Released June 26, the show entered the chart at No. 3 in its first partial week, then climbed to the top. It was the most-watched title in the category in 11 countries, among them South Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Bolivia and Peru, and reached the Top 10 in 68 others, for 79 in total.
Its domestic numbers have run ahead of its streaming ones. Episode 4 pulled a 21.6% nationwide rating on SBS, the third-highest for a Friday-Saturday drama on the network.

Teach You a Lesson holds at No. 2 in week five
Teach You a Lesson logged 4.7 million views and 49.9 million hours viewed, and stayed in the Top 10 across 54 countries.
The Netflix original, out June 5, follows an inspector at a state Educational Rights Protection Bureau who is licensed to use force on delinquent students. Its longer available runtime, ten episodes against the four aired so far for Agent Kim, is why it logged more hours than the week's No. 1 despite fewer views. Netflix calculates views by dividing total hours by a title's runtime, a formula that favors newer, shorter titles on the views metric.

Top 10 Non-English Shows on Netflix
Korean titles remain Netflix's largest non-English category
Korean-language programming is now the most-watched content on Netflix after English-language film and television. At its Next on Netflix 2026 Korea event in Seoul on Jan. 21, the company scheduled 34 Korean titles for the year, and Don Kang, its vice president of Korean content, said more than 210 Korean titles had entered the global Top 10 over the past five years.
Netflix's Korean film slate also charted that week. The action comedy Husbands in Action held at No. 2 on the non-English film list with 1.7 million views, its third week on the chart.
One thing to confirm before this runs: check Tudum's country-level charts for the full 11-country No. 1 list. The K-culture and tourism links from your draft would work better as a "read more" block than as claims in the closer, since neither is load-bearing for this story.
