  • Deadline becomes BLACKPINK's first group release since 2022, after a lengthy break dominated by solo ventures.
  • The album's pre-released song, JUMP's global chart performance, indicates continuous demand for the group ahead of its release.
  • The EP comes after a lucrative tour cycle of the group, which showcased their ability to mobilize audiences on a large scale, thus having a huge economic impact.

BLACKPINK, the K-pop girl group that has swept global charts and touring circuits, has officially released the tracklist for their third mini-album, Deadline. The extended play (EP) is the group’s first full Korean project since Born Pink in 2022, which drew about 1.8 million attendees and grossed approximately $330M USD globally.

BLACKPINK, whose upcoming album is coming out on Feb 27, 2026, at 2 p.m. (KST),will have a five-song lineup, which includes:

  1. 뛰어 (JUMP)
  2. GO (Title Track)
  3. Me and my
  4. Champion
  5. Fxxxboy

GO is the official title track in the album, which follows after JUMP, the group's pre-released single. JUMP, released in July 2025, became a global smash, peaking at the Billboard Global 200, simultaneously charting equivalent successes in other national markets. The song also surpassed 100M YouTube views within ~15 days of its release, becoming the fastest K-pop music video (MV) to achieve the mark that year. JUMP became the group’s 49th MV to cross the 100M-view threshold, joining the ranks of their career-defining hits How You Like That and Pink Venom

After a three-year and five-month break, Deadline marks BLACKPINK’s official return for their first group activity, rejoining the quartet after a successful era of solo activities. Reportedly, the EP is also their first to be sold globally through The Orchard, marking the end of their distribution partnership with Interscope Records.

Deadline Pre-orders and Touring Success Highlight BLACKPINK’s Sustained Demand

Various media reports note that Deadline sold out all physical versions in 25 minutes in the pre-orders segment, pointing out the group’s persisting commercial demand. Back in 2025, BLACKPINK also achieved a significant milestone when their album titled The Album, became the first K-pop female act album to sell 1M copies in the U.S., bolstering their cross-border impact.

Beyond raw sales, BLACKPINK's DEADLINE international tour highlighted the group's huge physical reach, with 33 gigs in 16 cities around the world. The concert, which ended in January 2026, also made a landmark visit to Wembley Arena in London in Aug 2025. The tour's economic impact was especially noticeable in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, due to high fan demand. According to local reports, including those of Taipei Times, two events in this city drew over 120,000 fans while earning NT$300M ($9.5M USD) in tourism revenue, while also experiencing record-breaking local transit peaks. To accommodate this demand, YG Entertainment added additional dates in Singapore and Hong Kong, bringing the Asia leg to 20 shows across eight cities and establishing the tour as a major regional economic engine.

A Larger Global K-pop Market Raises the Stakes for BLACKPINK’s New Album

BLACKPINK's return with Deadline comes amid a market change that has expanded a lot during their hiatus. According to Luminate, Korean music was observed to be the fourth most-streamed genre internationally in 2025, indicating global consumption beyond Asia. Spotify data also shows that global K-pop streaming has increased by more than 360% over the last five years, showcasing rising audience penetration in North America and Europe.

Ahead of the EP's release in late February 2026, increased fan activity with hashtags such as #DEADLINE_TRACKLIST already indicates significant popularity on the internet. Industry observers are now waiting to see if the quartet can turn this early engagement into another chart milestone for one of K-pop's most commercially successful acts.
