Highlights

  • BTS topped Billboard’s Top Tours chart for April after grossing $124M over eight shows, led by a $40.7M Tampa run.
  • BTS' ARIRANG world tour has already crossed the revenue pace of Permission to Dance on Stage and is expected to top $500M with 3M attendees.
  • BTS outsold touring giants like Kanye West while helping Mexico City's Estadio GNP Seguros to become Billboard’s No. 1-ranked venue.

BTS has topped Billboard’s Top Tours chart with an unprecedented all-stadium run bolstered by ARIRANG. According to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore for engagements from April 2026, BTS’ world tour, which kicked off on April 9 in Goyang, South Korea, grossed $16.9 million USD over three dates–April 9, 11, 12. As for Tokyo Dome nights, a two-night concert of the group garnered $18.6M. Notably, both of these tours ranked at No. 3 and No. 4 on the Top Boxscore chart for April 2026.

However, amongst all the concert shows of BTS, it was the U.S. market which unlocked the massive scale. BTS’ three-nights-residency at Tampa brought in $40.7M from 194,000 tickets, thereby out-earning Goyang and Tokyo combined to attain the No. 1 position at Billboard’s Top Boxscore chart for April.

All in all, for eight ARIRANG shows which took place the April month, BTS amassed $76.2M from 417,000 tickets. After counting the May dates in El Paso and Mexico City’s Estadio GNP Seguros alongside its eight April dates, it is revealed that the world tour settled with $124M earnings gained from 660,000 ticket sales. This milestone marked BTS' third month at No. 1 on Top Tours tally with the act also leading the Top Boxscore list for the fifth time.

ARIRANG Tour Breaks BTS’ Previous Stadium Revenue Records

ARIRANG’s chart climb already beats BTS’ Permission to Dance on Stage (~ $75.5M/458,000 tickets) and targets their record Love Yourself run which earned $213.9M from 1.7M ticket sales, according to Billboard. Unlike the previous 62-date arena/stadium hybrid, the ARIRANG world tour is strictly stadium-based with 85 shows in its schedule. Regionally, the tour’s Asian dates averaged $7.1M from 44,500 tickets, breaking the septet’s 2019 record of averaging $3.8M.

Notably, for the U.S. stops of Tampa and Texas (El Paso), BTS averaged $12.1M from 58,400 tickets, up by 64% in gross revenue and 40% in attendance. Hitting continents and countries like Europe, South America, Australia, Hong Kong and the Philippines, the ARIRANG world tour is expected to be attended by 3M fans while also topping half a billion dollars (~ $500M) in earnings, which is “more than half of BTS’ career touring revenue and ticket sales,” according to Billboard.

BTS Outsells Kanye West in Touring

BTS surpassed Luke Combs, who attained $36.5M (303,000 tickets) at stadiums in Charlottesville, Ames, South Bend, and Columbus, and emerged as the runner-up. Bruce Springsteen came in third with $35.4M (145,000 tickets) over nine arena shows, including a Kia Forum double-header (April 7, 9). Kanye West (a.k.a Ye) took the fourth place, amassing a career-best profit of $32.6M from two SoFi Stadium dates making it the biggest hip-hop gig of 2026, staged amid a high-octane BTS tour run.

BTS Drives Mexico City's Estadio GNP Seguros to No.1 on Billboard's Top Venues Ranking

Considering all the venues where best performances took place, be it stadiums, arenas, halls, amphitheaters, Mexico City’s Estadio GNP Seguros emerged as the top venue. The stadium generated $50.2M over six shows with 372,000 attendance, further bolstered by BTS’ post-hiatus performance. Following the ranking of Estadio GNP Seguros were Tampa, Inglewood, Tokyo, and Goyang. Additionally, Billboard reported that Tampa provided the best-selling single venue engagement to BTS, which is the world’s most commercially lucrative act at this point.

Notably, BTS’ album ARIRANG topped the Billboard 200 for three weeks after a 641,000-unit debut. Additionally, their title track of the album Swim led the Hot 100, and the Global 200 for four weeks, while reigning on the Global Excl. U.S. chart for six non-consecutive weeks, according to the May 23-dated tally. With both the Billboard charts and global stadiums strongly dominated by BTS, the ARIRANG era has cemented their status as a rare, yet profitable cultural force.
