K Pop Demon Hunters has achieved a groundbreaking feat. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) officially issued Platinum certificate to its soundtrack, which has sold over 1 million units. Notably, all five singles from the albums have also gained their own RIAA recognition.

Platinum Singles and Financial Impact of K Pop Demon Hunters

K Pop Demon Hunter's track Golden by “HUNTR/X” is leading the wave. It earned the Double Platinum status for surpassing 2 million units. Whereas other tracks from the film, including How It’s Done, What It Sounds Like, Soda Pop by, “Saja Boys,” and Your Idol, each crossed the 1-million-unit threshold, gaining Platinum certification individually.

The singles from K Pop Demon Hunters grossed at $3.2 million USD. They also earned between $18M to $20M USD in a sing-along event that took place on August 23-24, 2025, in theatres across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. 

K Pop Demon Hunters is currently Netflix’s most-watched movie, with 236M views and 314M views globally, in August and September, respectively. The soundtrack's certification also comes as no surprise. Its album debuted at No.8 on the Billboard 200, and then later climbed to the top in subsequent weeks, with the highest debut in 2025. It also became the first Netflix soundtrack to reach No.1 in recent years.

“Golden” and the Success of Other Soundtracks

The track Golden achieved fantastic global success as a single. It ranked No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts. It also bagged a Perfect All-Kill in South Korea, topping all other major domestic charts consecutively, breaking the record for most hourly perfect all-kills. The K Pop Demon Hunters' soundtrack is one of those rare ones in history that has four songs simultaneously in the U.S. Hot 100 Top 10. The songs that ranked are: Golden, Your Idol, Soda Pop, and How It’s Done.

The soundtrack of K Pop Demon Hunters was released on the same date and is credited to its cast, “Saja Boys,” and “HUNTR/X.” In an interview with MusicRadar, EJAE, the vocalist/character voice behind Golden, revealed that writing the lyrics for the film was effortless. She said, “We wrote it so fast. ‘Gonna be, gonna be Golden’ came out super fast. … 'Up, up, up it's our moment' … that came out fast, too.” 

The song Golden could potentially also be an award contender for bigger events, signifying its success in crossover appeal and storytelling role. It had also entered Billboard’s Pop Airplay top 10, expanding its mainstream reach. This song has also topped the Official Singles Chart of the U.K., followed by Soda Pop and Your Idol inside the top tier.
