KPop Demon Hunters Unveils DVDs and Slime Kits
Nearly a year after conquering Netflix, the Oscar-winning animated film is getting launched in physical formats as well as releasing more merch.

KPop Demon Hunters is stepping off the streaming scene as it is set for a Criterion Collection release on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD formats. This marks the first time for an animated film, which is already the most-viewed original title in Netflix history, to be widely available in physical form. Notably, KPop Demon Hunters had a limited theatrical and sing-along run, which was held last summer and fall, respectively.
Amazon lists a release date of Dec. 31, nevertheless, Billboard notes that it's likely a placeholder, with Sony Pictures expected to push the disc out before the holiday gifting window. According to the publication, cover art for the physical formats has not been finalized yet.
The Criterion rollout of KPop Demon Hunters, reportedly includes deleted scenes, which also contains a shelved subplot modeled on Korea's Idol Star Athletics Championships, where K-pop idols compete in sports. As of now, the Blu-ray costs around $39.95 USD while the DVD is priced at $29.95.
KPop Demon Hunters Character-Themed Slime Kits Set to Arrive Soon
The film, which turns a year old in June, also swept this year's Oscars and Grammys, and ever since those successes were achieved, the merchandise wave hasn't slowed down. Apart from the physical format release, in its latest addition, the KPop Demon Hunters team has launched a Scented Slime Kit from Increditoyz, priced at $44.95.

Reportedly, each kit is built around the four major characters of HUNTR/X. Rumi's purple slime features musical-note sparkles, while Mira's pink slime has heart charms. Zoey on the other hand has a citrus-scented cupcake blue slime, and Derpy's bright yellow slime features blackberry burst mix-ins. As reported by Billboard, inside one in every thousand kits, there is a hidden golden slime blind box.
Both the Criterion pre-order and the slime kit are available now on Amazon, showcasing that the franchise isn't cooling down, but is just finding new places to accommodate within the dynamic market effects.
