NCT WISH celebrates 1.28M album sales after tour finale
NCT WISH’s Ode To Love Hits 1.28M After Tour’s Finale
From a crowded KSPO Dome finale to immediate chart control, NCT WISH’s recent sales figures reflect a possible tour-fueled surge, utilizing live and chart momentum to become a global influence.
- NCT WISH sold 1.28 million copies of Ode to Love, marking their biggest career achievement yet.
- Ode to Love topped the charts in South Korea, along with neighboring countries China and Japan, within hours of its release.
- Backed by SM Entertainment, the group is aggressively evolving into a global K-pop force.
There is a certain kind of gravity that leads the way to a career-defining transition, and for NCT WISH, that hour arrived this week with the power of a million-seller. In twenty-four hours, post the curtain-closure of their 19-city, 30-show international tour, Into the Wish: Our Wish, the six-member subunit broke their own record. Their first full-length album, Ode to Love, moved a remarkable 1,285,184 copies on its April 20 launch day, marking a decisive beginning to a new chapter for NCT’s youngest unit.
The momentum initiated on Sunday night (April 19, 2026) at Seoul’s Kspo Dome, when the group was closing their six-month journey with an encore performance. The tour featured songs like Steady, Songbird, Wishful Madness, Reel-ationship, and We Go!, which generated a massive audience response, seemingly translated directly to the digital charts.
NCT WISH’s Ode to Love Dominates Melon, QQ Music, and AWA Charts
Within hours of the Monday 6 p.m. KST launch, the title track of Ode to Love achieved No. 1 on Melon’s Hot 100, while peaking at No. 3 on the Top 100. Since then, it has maintained its stability through Tuesday night. According to Soompi, apart from South Korea’s major domestic chart Melon, Ode to Love also topped Bugs, while claiming the summits on China’s QQ Music digital sales chart and Japan’s AWA realtime trending chart.
This surge in charts signals the group’s third million-selling project, following last year’s EPs poppop and Color. Yet, the scale here is unique. By hitting 1.28 million sales in one day, Ode to Love has already shortened its gap with its own career best Color, which held a first-week record by moving 1,395,217 copies.
SM Entertainment Creates Another Million-Seller Song with NCT WISH
Behind the metrics lies a group striving to expand its own growth. During the final encore of their Into the Wish: Our Wish, leader Sion talked about the dichotomy of their rising status. He noted that as love grows, a certain amount of anxiety accompanies it as well.
With only a few years into their career, NCT WISH has moved beyond the "polished concept" phase and is now entering into a period of overall market supremacy. With a successful concert at the Kspo Dome and rising chart metrics, it is safe to say that this SM Entertainment group is no longer just promising potential but is on the verge of attaining global stardom. With Ode to Love becoming a stable, chart-topping powerhouse, their latest success might just have arrived ahead of schedule.
