Spoiler Warning: This article contains spoilers for Chainsaw Man Chapter 232.

Chainsaw Man concluded with Chapter 232 on March 24, 2026, ending its almost eight-year run without announcing a Part 3. The finale resets the narrative timeline and centers on Denji’s personal outcome. It gives a hopeful yet ambiguous resolution while leaving several long-running plot threads unresolved.

The chapter follows the prior event in which Pochita erases Chainsaw Man’s existence.

Denji wakes in the same rundown shack seen at the series’ beginning and relives early events. However, instead of Pochita saving him, Power defeats the Zombie Devil and forms a pact with him.

Public Safety then arrives under Nayuta rather than Makima, establishing a different power structure. Denji and Power later work as Devil Hunters under Nayuta, whose leadership appears less controlling.

Chainsaw Man Ending Leaves Questions While Giving Denji a Happier Reality

The reset timeline continues as Denji encounters Asa Mitaka at school.

In this version of events, Asa does not kill the class mascot, Bucky, and their interaction suggests a more stable relationship. The chapter also confirms the absence of several major characters, such as Aki and Reze. The Four Horsemen do not appear either.

The finale ends with Denji and Power heading out for food, and the final panel states, “The end!” The closing emphasizes emotional resolution rather than complete narrative closure.

The manga leaves open questions about Pochita’s nature and the altered world, reinforcing the series’ focus on interpretation. The result positions Denji in a calmer reality, where he works with Power and interacts normally with Asa, without confirming any continuation.
