  • The limited-time Master League Sprint recreates classic career mechanics through April 16, 2026.
  • The milestone campaign introduces rewards, Epic players, and multiple themed events.

eFootball reached 1B downloads, with Konami launching a limited-time Master League-style mode. The mode, titled Master League Sprint, recreates core elements of the classic Pro Evolution Soccer career experience and is available until April 16, 2026. The announcement also accompanies a wider celebration campaign running from April 9 to April 30 (UTC), featuring events with rewards and epic player additions.

Master League Sprint places players in the role of handling transfers, club managers, training schedules, and lineup decisions. The mode reintroduces fictional players like Castolo and Minanda, with ‘Synergy’ matches where player condition affects team chemistry. Points earned allow squad changes, while in-match episodes drive growth, injuries, and form shifts.

The free-to-play title, successor to the Pro Evolution Soccer series, was soft-launched in late 2021 before its full rollout in 2022. In a press release, Konami called the figure a “major milestone” and said the celebration includes a manga serialization.

As a game, eFootball holds a mixed Steam rating with over 27K English reviews, and GameDiscoverCo labeled it the “most divisive game on Steam.”

eFootball 1B Downloads Commemorative Campaign Adds Epic Players and Rewards

The milestone campaign adds epic players including Ronaldinho Gaúcho, Francesco Totti, Cafu, Edmílson, Angelo Peruzzi, Steven Gerrard, and Dimitar Berbatov.

Players can earn rewards through login bonuses, PvP and AI events, campaign hub progression, and timed objectives. Additional modes, such as European Clubs Championship, National Teams, and WORLD LEGENDS challenges, introduce themed competitions and higher-difficulty AI encounters.

Konami also confirmed free chance deals, daily bonuses, and a 5K eFootball Points giveaway tied to the celebration. Rewards range from tokens and experience points to in-game currency and player items distributed across multiple event phases.

Overall, the milestone underscores an exceptional mark as Konami brings back classic career-style gameplay while expanding eFootball’s live-service model.
