Highlights

  • FAU-G: Domination averages 50-minute daily sessions, hitting 1M downloads on Day One post-launch.
  • Positive 4.4 Google Play rating and 2.9M plays on “Basti” map show strong early engagement.
  • Game sees high traction in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, expanding beyond India’s urban gaming hubs.

Indian mobile game FAU-G: Domination has recorded 50-minute average daily user sessions since launching in May, according to developer Dot9 Games, as the company seeks to compete in India's growing mobile gaming market. Since its launch in May 2025, the battle royale has garnered strong user engagement, indicating growing player interest and investment. Dot9 Games has confirmed that FAU-G Domination is averaging 50-minute daily sessions per user already in its first month. The game has also earned a mighty 4.4-star rating on Google Play, reflecting positive user sentiment.

Stats to Back Up Dominance

The positive response to FAU-G Domination and the early metrics signal growing player interest in domestic, local alternatives to global franchises. The game had 1 million downloads on Google Play in the first 24 hours after its launch. In the release, the studio also stated that the game has racked up over 2.9 million plays on its most popular map, “Basti”. Over multiple sessions in a day, users spend 50 minutes on average playing FAU-G Domination.

Early traction is not limited to major metros in India, including Delhi and Pune, since usage trends showed promising monetisation potential from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities like Patna and Lucknow. This broad geographic appeal is indicative of nCore’s successful tapping into India’s expanding digital entertainment base beyond the usual Tier-1 urban landscape.

"FAU-G: Domination is now a part of our audience’s daily habits”, CEO Deepak Ail told Gaming on Phone in June." He added that these stats indicate how “FAU-G: Domination is now a part of our audience’s daily habits.

FAU-G Domination has resonated with casual gamers, and the next step is to reel in the competitive players. Deepak Ail has confirmed that nCore Games is focusing on developing and laying the foundations for the game’s competitive landscape. The studio is keen on introducing features like the clan system, events, in-game rewards, among others, with the hopes of getting new players to try the game.

To bolster engagement and retention, nCore has partnered with IceSpice, a gaming rewards platform, to host promotional campaigns offering up to approximately $12,000 USD (INR 10 lakh) in prizes. These in-game events, running through July, are designed to deepen user loyalty and drive recurring gameplay. Concurrently, the studio is rolling out technical updates and new seasonal content to sustain momentum and respond to early user feedback.

The Indian mobile gaming market has emerged as a global force, driven by increasing smartphone penetration, affordable internet and data, and a strong push toward localized content. Localization has played a significant part in its growth, with developers tailoring games to suit regional languages, cultures, and preferences. The market is projected to reach USD 11 Billion by 2033, growing at a CAGR of 15.5% from 2025 onward. Additionally, a recent report by CyberMedia Research notes that Gen Z users in India spend over six hours per week gaming on mobile devices, with 32 % of all smartphone users playing 4–6 hours weekly. Against this backdrop, nCore Games’ focus on Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities through FAU-G Domination and its Made-in-India content could be a strategic win in India’s expanding gaming economy.

This Made-in-India multiplayer shooter game was officially launched in May at the World Audio Video Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025. Developed by Dot9 Games and published by Nazara Publishing, this game is currently available on Android and is expected to be available on Apple App Store shortly.
