Highlights

  • Honor of Kings launch confirmed for March 11, 2026.
  • Milestone rewards unlock at 200K to 2M registrations.
  • The India rollout enters a competitive MOBA market, with an influencer-led strategy targeting early adoption.

Honor of Kings (HoK) India pre-registration is now live through the official event portal, with the full release confirmed for March 11, 2026. The rollout brings the global mobile MOBA to Indian players. The title is developed by TiMi Studio Group and published by Level Infinite under Tencent.

The official site states that after tapping to pre-register, players “will receive a reminder email on the day HoK launches in India” and must log in on launch day to claim rewards. Players must access the India pre-registration page and select their platform. They then need to create or log into a Level Infinite Pass account to confirm participation.

The official APK download is not yet available in India, and users are advised to avoid unofficial sources.

Registered players are expected to receive both the Vulpine Gratitude skin and the hero Da Ji at launch, although final confirmation is still pending.

Server-specific perks will unlock at the following registration milestones:

  • 1M registrations: Starstones (×5,000)
  • 1.5M registrations: Golden Flash (3 days)

The event page also promotes daily draw rewards of up to ₹4.5K in Amazon gift cards. Meanwhile, streamers such as Scout, Mortal, and Kaash Plays are listed for exclusive custom assets as part of the India campaign.

India Rollout Will Face Established MOBA Rivals

The launch aligns India with Honor of Kings’ established esports framework, including global tournaments such as the Esports World Cup later in 2026. With pre-registration open and servers launching in early March, Indian players can enter ranked play and pursue international competition from day one.

At the same time, the Indian market presents structural competition. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) was banned in India in 2020 due to data security and privacy concerns, and later reintroduced as Moba Legends: 5v5. The Indian version has appeared among the top free and top-grossing strategy titles on Google Play, indicating measurable local traction despite earlier regulatory action.

Globally, the franchise has surpassed 1.5B downloads and reports over 110M monthly active users.

Several creators, including Gyan Gaming and Raistar, publicly shifted away from Garena Free Fire toward MLBB and other MOBA formats. In their streams and videos, they cited persistent hacker and cheating issues in Free Fire as factors that affected gameplay integrity and overall community experience. Their move further reinforced MLBB’s creator ecosystem in India, strengthening its visibility ahead of new MOBA entrants.

This entrenched loyalty can make it difficult for new entrants to scale quickly.

Historical precedent reinforces that challenge, even outside the MOBA genre. Call of Duty: Mobile recorded strong early traction despite competition from PC-origin franchises such as PUBG: Battlegrounds Mobile. However, it was unable to maintain its early momentum in the Indian market.

Other high-profile titles, including Apex Legends Mobile and Fortnite, also struggled to sustain momentum in India’s mobile-first ecosystem.

In response, Honor of Kings is deploying an influencer-led launch strategy featuring creators such as Scout, Mortal, and Kaashplays to drive initial adoption. The game generated major viewership records in China last year, a highly competitive and mature esports market with one of the world’s largest gaming audiences. That performance highlights its ability to command large-scale engagement in a saturated environment.

This clarifies that China is not an emerging market but one of the most competitive gaming ecosystems globally, which makes the viewership benchmark meaningful. In India, however, sustained success will depend on whether early registrations convert into consistent competitive participation.
