The page, surfaced via the PlayStation app, includes a translated line stating the PlayStation 5 title will release in the third quarter (Q3) of 2026.

The Q3 timeframe narrows the previously announced Fall 2026 schedule, first shared during last year’s State of Play showcase. Fall typically spans September through November, but a Q3 placement, which runs from July through September, suggests an earlier arrival.
Store listings in other regions still display the broader fall window, indicating the timing could change ahead of an official announcement.
Marvel’s Wolverine PS5 Launch Strategy
A July-September launch would position the game ahead of Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA VI), which is currently set for November 2026. Avoiding a direct overlap would give Sony a more defined commercial runway before the holiday release cycle intensifies.
The timing would also align with PlayStation’s past early-fall release pattern. Previous Marvel’s Spider-Man titles debuted in that period, making September a plausible landing month, as it falls both within Q3 and the fall season.
Sony stated additional Wolverine updates will be shared over time, with trailers or developer features expected between April and June 2026, consistent with a late-summer or early-fall marketing ramp.
Official product information notes: “Wolverine seeks answers about his past, and will do whatever it takes to get them.” It adds that, driven by “the brutal force of his wrath, his claws, and a relentless will,” he will pursue the truth behind his past.
