Highlights

  • Pokémon GO generated $141.5M in July, marking its strongest month on major app stores since June 2022.
  • GO Fest 2026: Global and other anniversary events helped drive a 229% monthly spending increase.
  • PokéXciting! will extend Pokémon’s 30th anniversary celebrations across five Asian cities through February 2027.

Pokémon GO revenue surged 229% month over month to $141.5M USD in July 2026, according to AppMagic estimates. The figure, combining Google Play and the App Store, made July 2026 the game's strongest month on those storefronts since June 2022, when it generated $143.7M. It also placed Pokémon GO fifth among the month's highest-grossing mobile games.

The anniversary month coincided with ‘GO Fest 2026: Global,' which was made free for all players on July 11 and 12. Spending passed $5M on July 11 alone, while the report shows $15.1M in player spending that day across the two major stores. The broader anniversary campaign included the July 4-6 10th Anniversary Party and the July 21-27 Ultra Unlock event.

Pokémon GO July 2026 Revenue Breakdown

The U.S. accounted for $50.1M, or 35% of July spending, followed by Japan at $38.9M and South Korea at $7.1M. The App Store generated $90.4M, representing 64%, while Google Play contributed $51.1M.

Pokémon GO has historically recorded major spending peaks during summer, with July 2021 marking its highest monthly total at $182.7M across the two stores. The June 2022 figure predates the launch of Pokémon GO’s web shop in May 2023, and therefore does not account for spending made through that channel.

Pokémon GO Expands 30th Anniversary Events

Scopely noted that Pokémon GO has surpassed 800M lifetime players, with 100B kilometers walked and one trillion Pokémon caught. The wider Pokémon 30th anniversary campaign will bring PokéXciting! to Kuala Lumpur on Sep 12-13, Taipei on Oct 10-11, Singapore on Nov 7-8, 2026, Manila on Jan 23-24, 2027, and Bangkok on Feb 13-14.

Jupiter Hadley explained to PocketGamer.biz that summer brings casual and returning players back to the game in the U.K., noting that “you get more families coming out” during the season.

The events will feature region-exclusive costumed PokéXciting! Pikachu, GO Stamp Rallies, Timed Research, Field Research, wild encounters, Gigantamax Battles, and location-specific Unown. Singapore will also host Pokémon Run 30 and airport activations at Changi.

A decade in, Pokémon GO continues to turn major events and player engagement into sustained commercial momentum.
