PUBG MOBILE has renamed its upcoming lightweight app PUBG MOBILE LIGHT to PUBG MOBILE FLASH. The change was announced through its official X account on Sep 24, 2026.
The company confirmed that the November 2026 launch remains unchanged, while players who already pre-registered will automatically retain their registration.
PUBG MOBILE FLASH Pre-Registration Details
PUBG MOBILE described the change as “just a new name," confirming that players do not need to register again. The announcement also directs new users to pre-register through Google Play and the App Store.
The Google Play listing for PUBG MOBILE FLASH, published under Level Infinite, uses the description “THE ORIGINAL PUBG MOBILE, NOW IN A FLASH.” The listing was updated on Sep 22 and currently includes:
- In-app purchases
- No data shared with third parties, according to the developer-provided disclosure
- Collection of personal, financial, and three other categories of data
- Encryption of data during transit
- An option for users to request data deletion
PUBG MOBILE Update Fixes Midnight Hunters and Classic Mode
The rebranding comes alongside a series of gameplay and system fixes announced by PUBG MOBILE on Sep 23, 2026. The Sep 22 update addressed issues across Classic Mode, Midnight Hunters, and general features.
The primary fixes include:
- Classic Mode problems with hovercraft collision behavior, firearm audio, vehicle icons, and fuel barrels.
- Midnight Hunters issues involving bat transformations, invisible characters, and disappearing Recall Signals.
- Incorrect card collection and Meow Fuzzster Shop information.
- Expanded sources for Card Token Packs, including themed crates, Scream Crates, and ground spawns.
- Incorrect profile card backgrounds.
- Incorrect microphone status on iOS devices.
- Repeated Like notifications appearing in Moments.
- A crash affecting 32-bit devices after entering Lobby Settings.
A similar update might also come to Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), although there is currently no official confirmation from KRAFTON India or BGMI dataminers.
