Highlights

  • Scopely introduces a Harry Potter collaboration in Monopoly Go, adding a major seasonal event built around Platform Nine and Three-Quarters.
  • New maps, mini-games, and collectables expand gameplay, including Hogwarts, Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade, and a 23-set sticker album with Chocolate Frogs.
  • The update targets engagement across Monopoly Go’s large player base, which has surpassed 150M downloads, $5B in revenue, and 10M daily active users.

Scopely will launch the Monopoly Go and Harry Potter collaboration on Dec. 10, 2025, positioning the limited-time event as its next major seasonal driver inside the company’s top-grossing mobile title. Running through Feb. 4, 2026, the update brings characters, locations, and notable film moments from the Harry Potter franchise into the game.

The event is built around Mr. Monopoly’s stop at Platform Nine and Three-Quarters, which transports him into the wizarding world and forms the narrative basis for the season.

Players will explore seasonal maps based on Hogwarts Castle, Diagon Alley, and Hogsmeade Village. Completing the first map unlocks House Crest Shields, enabling players to choose their Hogwarts House. The event also adds limited-time mini-games and collectables, including Blocks Boutique, where players stock wizarding sweets to clear rows and earn rewards.

With over 150M downloads, more than $5B in lifetime revenue, and an estimated 10M daily active users, the update arrives at a scale where new seasonal content can significantly influence player activity and in-game spending.

A new Sticker Album offers 23 themed sets, plus a season-unique Sticker Set accessed through Chocolate Frogs, expanding the game’s collectable loop for the duration of the event. Additional activities such as Racers, Treasures, and partner events draw from familiar characters, artifacts, and team-based competition.

Victor Diaz-Roig, Scopely’s president of games, said the team aimed to merge the franchise with the game’s structure, noting they set out “to create something truly magical for our players,” with his additional remarks about Diagon Alley and Hogwarts reflected in the event’s design.

The collaboration strengthens Scopely’s reliance on high-recognition IP to support long-form engagement, positioning Monopoly Go for sustained activity through early 2026.
