SEGA Sammy Holdings accidentally posted a presentation on its investor-relations site that included detailed sales figures for 11 major game titles spanning fiscal years 2020-2025. The document was archived online (courtesy of Resetera user –R) in the short period before SEGA removed it.
The leaked figures revealed standout performance from several titles:
- Persona 5 Royal (including subsequent ports/remasters): 7.25 million units
- Sonic Frontiers: 4.57 million units
- Team Sonic Racing: 3.50 million units
- Total War: Three Kingdoms: 3.21 million units
- Yakuza: Like a Dragon: 2.86 million units
- Sonic Superstars: 2.43 million units
- Total War: Warhammer III: 2.34 million units
- Shin Megami Tensei V: 2.11 million units
- Persona 3 Reload: 2.07 million units
The previously unreported sales data offers detailed insight into the performance of SEGA’s major gaming franchises, information typically not disclosed by the company.
As for SEGA’s performance for the fiscal year ended March 31, the company reported revenue of 428.9 billion Yen ($2.96 billion), down 8.3% from the previous year., Operating income fell to 48.1 billion Yen ($331.9 million) from 57.8 billion Yen ($397.7 million) a year earlier.. Adjusted EBITDA rose 14% to 62.2 billion Yen($428.8 million), from 54.7 billion Yen ($377.3 million) in the previous fiscal year.
Upcoming titles from SEGA include the free-to-play game Sonic Rumble, Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, and Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, slated for release in late 2025 and early 2026, according to the company’s official communications. SEGA Sammy’s investor presentation also referenced several longer-term projects, including revivals of Golden Axe and Jet Set Radio, a new Streets of Rage title, and a console version of Alien: Isolation, with target releases in FY2026 or later.
On the animated and toy initiatives front, SEGA has a Paw Patrol product rollout and Sonic merchandise. There are also development studio divisions working on Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown, which is due for release in FY2026.
In conjunction with its software roadmap, SEGA Sammy is expanding its retail footprint. SEGA announced on June 20 plans to open its first flagship retail store, ‘The SEGA Store Tokyo’, in Shibuya Parco during summer 2025. The company also has plans for a Shanghai Store.
