Ubisoft Q1 Mobile Share Doubles Despite Revenue Decline

Mobile growth and a strong Q2 pipeline highlight Ubisoft's evolving strategy.

Highlights

  • Ubisoft's mobile share doubled to 19% of Q1 net bookings, driven by Invincible: Guarding the Globe.
  • Q1 net bookings reached €255.8M (~$291M), beating guidance despite a 9.2% YoY decline.
  • Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced sold 3.5M copies, supporting Ubisoft's Q2 outlook.

Ubisoft's mobile business delivered its strongest quarter in years, nearly doubling its share of the company's net bookings during the first quarter (Q1) of fiscal 2026-27. Mobile contributed 19% of total net bookings, up from 10% a year earlier. The publisher reported €255.8 million (~$291M USD) in net bookings, exceeding its guidance of around €250 million ($284M) despite a 9.2% year-over-year (YoY) decline.

Ubisoft noted that the decline reflected a difficult comparison with last year's Assassin's Creed Shadows launch.

Invincible Fuels Mobile Growth as Platform Mix Shifts

The biggest driver was Invincible: Guarding the Globe. Ubisoft stated that the mobile title posted a record quarter more than two years after release. Momentum came from the fourth season of the Invincible TV series and a new in-game character. Together, they boosted player acquisition, retention, and monetization.

The platform mix also changed. Console's share of net bookings declined from 50% to 46%, while PC's contribution edged up from 26% to 27%. The "other" category, which includes ancillary revenue, declined from 14% to 8%. Digital represented 80.6% of net bookings, down from 88.8% in 2025.

Collectively, total revenue reached €268.2M (~$305M), with back catalog bookings totaling €221M (~$251M).

"We delivered first-quarter net bookings slightly above guidance. This performance was led by a record contribution from Invincible: Guarding the Globe while the rest of our portfolio, including Rainbow Six Siege, performed in line with our expectations," Ubisoft Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Yves Guillemot stated.

Black Flag Resynced Strengthens Q2 Outlook

North America remained Ubisoft's largest market with 47% of net bookings. Europe increased to 38%, while the rest of the world accounted for 15%. Ubisoft also reaffirmed its full-year outlook. It expects around €370M (~421M) in Q2 net bookings after Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced sold 3.5M copies in its first 14 days.

The company continues its restructuring with leadership changes, studio closures, and a stronger focus on its biggest franchises.
