Netflix has unveiled its current anime lineup in Summer 2026, adding a mix of high-profile returning series and new weekly simulcasts. Netflix's summer anime slate has already begun on May 16 with the debut of Akane-banashi, a rakugo coming-of-age drama.
Blue Lock: VS. U-20 JAPAN will get its Netflix release on May 25 as part of the new lineup. The highly anticipated second season of My Dress-Up Darling is also releasing on the same day.
The season also brings a Netflix original anime, Sparks of Tomorrow, a worldwide exclusive produced by Kyoto Animation. The anime is based on Hiro Yuki's Kyoto Animation Award-winning novel and will get an Annecy 2026 premiere before coming to the streamer.
