BLEACH Mirrors High, a new video game from the franchise, was unveiled during the BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Calamity stage at Anime Expo 2026 on July 4. During the VIZ Media screening event, a new trailer and two original characters were unveiled.

Alongside the new trailer, the publisher, Bandai Namco Entertainment, has also confirmed that the game tells an original story set after the anime’s final arc, making it an official project that explores BLEACH’s post-TYBW timeline. Franchise creator Tite Kubo has created BLEACH: Mirrors High’s narrative.

Additionally, BLEACH: Mirrors High has opened for closed beta testing for iOS and Android devices. The beta testing registration is available via an online application form.

BLEACH Mirrors High: Production, Pre-Registration, and Kubo's Role

Bandai Namco describes BLEACH Mirrors High as an “Immersive 13 Court Guard Squads Action” title. The game will have new dual protagonists, Shirin Migishima and Shirane Sanari, who are original Soul Reapers created for the title.

The game was first unveiled in December 2025, with a message from Kubo. Kubo stated in a press release that he has been involved in the project from its inception. He contributed to the title, scenario, character designs, and logo, adding that he became so invested in the designs that he “ended up doing more than what was requested.”

He also attended voice actor auditions and recording sessions, noting that “the characters turned out just as I imagined.” He emphasized that the story is partly related to the manga’s main scenarios, asking fans to look forward to Mirrors High’s narrative.

Mirrors High’s closed beta testing, which is now available for pre-registration, is scheduled from July 22 to July 29 (PDT). The registration is open until July 13, 2:59 am UTC (July 12, 7:59 pm PDT). 20K people will be selected for the testing, as per the announcement.

Many of the gameplay details remain unannounced. On the other hand, Kubo’s level of involvement distinguishes Mirrors High from many licensed anime mobile games, which typically adapt existing arcs.

The game’s Anime Expo reveal comes just weeks before BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Calamity premieres on July 25, 2026. The Calamity is the anime’s fourth and final cour, designed to bring the franchise, which has been running for over two decades, to a close.
