- The achievement strengthens Jungkook’s standalone presence in the global music market.
A 2020 fan song by the BTS vocalist has reached 400 million Spotify streams, underscoring the enduring commercial power of K-pop's global reach.
BTS member Jungkook's self-composed ballad "Still With You" reached 400 million streams on Spotify on Dec. 27, five years after its initial release as a free download for fans. The milestone marks the seventh time one of his solo tracks has surpassed that threshold on the platform, according to his label, BigHit Music.
The song maintains approximately 500,000 daily streams, an unusually sustained performance for a track released without traditional promotional support or an official music video. Originally uploaded to SoundCloud in 2020 to commemorate the seventh anniversary of his debut, "Still With You" received a formal streaming platform release in July 2023.
Cross-Platform Performance
Beyond Spotify, "Still With You" has accumulated 121 million streams on YouTube Music and 129 million views on Jungkook's YouTube Topic channel, despite the absence of a music video. Two other self-written fan songs by Jungkook — "Never Let Go" and "My You" — have reached 220 million and 165 million Spotify streams, respectively.
Upon its 2023 streaming platform debut, "Still With You" became the first song by a K-pop solo artist to reach No. 1 on Spotify's Viral Songs Global daily chart, holding that position for four consecutive days. The track also topped Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart, reached No. 6 on the Digital Song Sales chart, No. 62 on the Global 200 and No. 33 on the Global chart excluding the United States.
The song reached No. 1 on iTunes charts in 101 countries and regions, according to industry data.
BTS Jungkook’s Success Reinforces Long-Term Solo Impact
The continued performance of "Still With You" comes as BTS prepares for a full-group reunion in 2026 following the members' completion of mandatory military service in South Korea. Jungkook's solo catalog surpassed 10 billion cumulative Spotify streams on Nov. 25, BigHit Music said, with "Seven," the lead single from his 2023 album "Golden," accounting for the largest share.
The resurgence of interest in BTS's catalog has extended to the group's earlier work. "Anpanman," a B-side from the 2018 album "Love Yourself: Tear," returned to No. 1 on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart in December, more than seven years after its release.
"Still With You," a piano-driven ballad featuring jazz-influenced production, showcases what industry observers describe as Jungkook's vocal range and emotional delivery. The track's sustained streaming numbers suggest changing consumption patterns in which listeners increasingly revisit older catalog material rather than focusing exclusively on new releases.
