Netflix confirmed that STEEL BALL RUN JoJo's Bizarre Adventure will return with its second stage in fall 2026. The series will shift to a weekly rollout after the March 19, 2026, premiere of the first stage. The company said the upcoming cour will stream one episode per week, though an exact release date and episode count remain undisclosed.

The announcement also indicated that the adaptation will undergo a split-cour release throughout its entire duration.

Netflix stated that the production is ongoing and emphasized that the schedule “reflects the wishes of the production committee,” while thanking viewers for their continued support. The company added that the weekly model was part of its original plan for the series’ rollout.

STEEL BALL RUN 2nd STAGE Split-Cour Structure and Production Details

The split-cour structure leaves uncertainty about whether additional stages will follow after the 2nd STAGE, but it confirms a staggered distribution for the adaptation.

The anime is directed by Yasuhiro Kimura and Hideya Takahashi at David Production. Series composition is being handled by Yasuko Kobayashi, with character designs by Daisuke Tsumagari and music by Yugo Kanno. Toshiyuki Kato serves as series director, and Warner Bros. Japan produces the series.

The 2nd STAGE continues Johnny Joestar’s and Gyro Zeppeli’s cross-country race through a roughly 750-mile desert. Along the route, the feared “Devil’s Palm” introduces escalating incidents and competing hidden motives.

The weekly rollout is likely to energize the series’ cult fan base, where netizens routinely turn JoJo references into viral moments across online communities.
