  • The dominATE Experience debuted at No.1 globally, grossing $19.1 million, marking a record for a Korean-language IMAX production.
  • The concert film beat past BTS documentaries, owing to significant demand in Mexico, Germany, and the UK/Ireland.
  • Stray Kids' box-office performance parallels its $185.7M Dominate World Tour, indicating tour-driven fan demand.

Stray Kids: The dominATE Experience debuted at number one on the global theatrical chart, grossing $19.1 million USD globally across 61 regions in weekend ticket sales. The release results demonstrated the increasing economic appeal of large-scale concert films. It also smashed records for a Korean-language IMAX release, showcasing the group's growing global influence.

Stray Kids Concert 2026 Documentary Box Office Outpaces BTS’ Concert Films

The concert documentary, which was released globally by Universal Pictures and by Bleecker Street's Crosswalk in North America, featured Stray Kids' sold-out SoFi Stadium performances as well as behind-the-scenes tour footage. Variety reported that Mexico, Germany, and the U.K/Ireland led overseas territories with $2.1M, $1.5M, and $1.3M, respectively.

Variety also added that Stray Kids’ concert film’s box office collection in North America accounted for $5.6M its first three days and has outperformed the initial performances of previous K-pop concert films such as BTS Yet to Come to the Cinema, Bring the Soul: The Movie, and Break the Silence: The Movie. Notably, as per Box Office Mojo, the three films grossed about $29.29M, $24M and $8.95M globally. Additionally, the film's IMAX share accounted for around 20.5% of its global box office, marking the best performance for a Korean-language release.

Consequently, market analysts further pointed out that the Super Bowl weekend, which generally records low theater attendance, provides a unique opportunity for alternative films like this concert documentary to prosper. They further noted the limited releases of fresh Hollywood content as another driver of success for the Stray Kids concert film

Stray Kids Box Office Collection Reflects Tour-driven Demand

The historic Stray Kids box office collection comes as the group's Dominate World Tour reported record revenues in 2025. Their tour reportedly earned roughly $185.7M while selling over 1.3M tickets worldwide, beating many contemporaries in today’s K-pop market. Rivaling Stray Kids' concert film earnings at the box office is Disney's Zootopia 2, which gained $16.8M for a $1.8B global total, with Send Help and Avatar: Fire and Ash following behind.

The Stray Kids concert documentary's box office success reflects an ongoing pattern. This shows high-engagement fan markets are progressively fueling theatrical demand for concert films and premium formats, thus making early 2026 a significant time for event-style filmmaking. The strong initial performance of the film comes ahead of the Stray Kids concert 2026 in Brazil (Rock in Rio festival, Sept 2026). The strong box office collection further points to the group’s continued popularity throughout February while indicating prospective digital releases later in the year, as well as future tour/group ventures.
