Shueisha is bringing back Tite Kubo’s sprawling Bleach illustration collection JET, expanding the made-to-order 2018 release with artwork created in the years since its publication.
BLEACH Artbook JET 2026 I and BLEACH Artbook JET 2026 II will be released in Japan on Oct. 2, according to Shueisha. The first book will run 304 pages and cost ¥4,400 including tax, while the second will have 218 pages and cost ¥3,740.
The books will reproduce all of the more than 700 illustrations contained in the original JET while adding Bleach and Burn the Witch artwork that Kubo produced after the collection was published. Shueisha said the new editions will use the same types of ink and paper as the original.
There is an important distinction, however: the additional material consists of work produced since JET appeared, rather than illustrations newly commissioned for the 2026 edition. Shueisha says neither volume contains newly drawn artwork made specifically for the rerelease. The Burn the Witch bonus manga included with the original collector’s edition will also not return.
The original JET, released in December 2018, was sold as a made-to-order deluxe collection. Its return comes in a different context: 2026 marks 25 years since Bleach began its run in Weekly Shonen Jump.
JET Becomes Part of Bleach’s 25th-Anniversary Push
Shueisha has also begun BLEACH ART SELECTION, a fan poll built around 96 illustrations selected from the new volumes. Voting opened Aug. 10 and runs through Aug. 30, with participants allowed one vote each day. The 25 highest-ranked works are scheduled to be announced Oct. 2, the same day the books go on sale, with the selections also forming the basis of a 25th-anniversary promotional video.
Alongside the reprint, the company also launched BLEACH ART SELECTION, a daily fan vote pulling roughly 100 illustrations from the new JET volumes. The top 25 illustrations will feature in BLEACH’s 25th-anniversary promotional video.
The art-book rerelease arrives while Bleach is also reaching the end of its latest anime revival. BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War — The Calamity, the fourth and final installment of the adaptation, began airing in Japan on July 25.
An exhibition devoted to Thousand-Year Blood War is meanwhile running at Anime Tokyo Station in Tokyo through Aug. 16. It includes life-size character panels, replicas of Zanpakutō including Zangetsu and an interactive digital installation based on the series’ Bankai abilities.
Another exhibition is already planned. BLEACH EX. II, a follow-up to the original BLEACH EX. exhibition that opened in Tokyo in December 2021, is scheduled for summer 2027. Further details have not yet been announced.
Shueisha is also developing a second installment of DON’T BLEACH MY FIST, the school-life novel project written by Ryohgo Narita and based on Kubo’s illustrations. The first volume was published on June 4. Shueisha has not announced a release date for the follow-up.
