The League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) 2026 will stage the LCK Cup Finals in Hong Kong, marking the first time the league has taken the finals event outside South Korea since its inception in 2012. The official announcement, circulated on Jan 27, 2026, unveiled that the Finals will take place at Kai Tak Arena in the Kai Tak Sports Park.
In Hong Kong, The Lower Bracket Final (Loser Finals) and Grand Final will be held on Feb 28 and March 1, 2026, respectively. Every match day will feature “high‑intensity best‑of‑five (Bo5)” matches to determine the winners.
The Grand Final will conclude the 2026 LCK Cup, a tournament that feeds directly into Riot’s restructured early-season international calendar. The top two teams secure qualification to the First Stand Tournament 2026 in Brazil.
The Road to Hong Kong LCK Cup Finals 2026
The 2026 LCK Cup represents a transitional phase for the league, aligning with Riot Games’ broader overhaul of the League of Legends esports ecosystem. Apart from changes in the rosters, Riot also introduced a “Super Week” within the LCK 2026 format and shortened the season to accommodate the Asian Games.
As of late January, multiple top-tier organizations have progressed deep into the Group Stage, including T1, Gen.G, and Dplus. Group Stage will facilitate entries into Round 2 of playoffs, Round 1 of playoffs, and Play-ins based on their ranks after the culmination of Group Stage. LCK 2026 started on Jan 14, 2026, at Riot’s LCK Arena inside Seoul’s LoL Park, before moving to Hong Kong for Finals.
Beyond the matches themselves, the organizer committee will host a LCK Festival Zone in Hong Kong alongside the finals weekend with free admission. Programming is set to include fan engagement activations, merchandise, cosplays, community-focused experiences such as Cheer Wall and designated photo areas, designed to extend the event’s footprint beyond the arena.
The Pop-Up Store will remain open from Feb 14 to March 1 at MCP CENTRAL, Metro City Plaza Phase 2, while the Festival Zone at Kai Tak Arena will start on Feb 28, aligning with the schedule of LCK Losers Finals.
The Hong Kong finals are being delivered through a partnership between Riot Games, the publisher of League of Legends, and Cyber Games Arena. The selected venue, Kai Tak Arena, has also received an “M” Mark designation from the Hong Kong Major Events Committee, a government-backed recognition that signals the event’s economic and cultural significance to the city.
