- Grand finale will be held at Delhi Comic Con, Dec 5–7.
- Registrations open Oct 8, finalists to receive official PlayStation merchandise.
NODWIN Gaming announced the fourth edition of the PlayStation India Cup on Monday, marking the latest expansion of India's nascent console esports market with a INR 4,00,000 prize pool, a 60% increase from last year's competition.
The tournament, featuring EA SPORTS FC 26 exclusively on PlayStation 5, will culminate at Delhi Comic Con from Dec. 5-7 at NSIC Grounds in Okhla. The event represents one of India's few official console esports competitions, targeting what organizers describe as a premium gaming segment.
Registrations open Oct. 8 through the PS5 console dashboard, with daily online qualifiers running through Nov. 10. The top eight players will advance to the finals, where they will compete before live audiences at Comic Con's 40,000-square-foot gaming arena. All finalists will receive PlayStation merchandise.
Growing Tournament Format
"The console esports scene in India is a premium niche, and the PlayStation India Cup with EA FC captures that perfectly," said Akshat Rathee, co-founder and managing director of NODWIN Gaming. He noted that the 40,000-square-foot gaming arena at Comic Con would bring fans together to compete and celebrate Delhi's growing console esports community.
The tournament has grown since its inception. Last year's edition featured EA SPORTS FC 25 with a combined prize pool of INR 2,50,000 in cash and INR 1,50,000 in products. Charanjot Singh won the 2024 title.
NODWIN plans to supplement the competition with influencer content, live streams and weekly updates throughout the tournament cycle, attempting to broaden engagement beyond the participant pool.
