Amazon has relaunched its cloud gaming service, Luna, with GameNight, a new multiplayer collection for families and friends, giving Prime members 50+ free games across 13 countries, including the U.S., U.K., and Germany.
The redesign supports Amazon’s push to boost Prime, its $14.99-per-month service with over 200 million members. GameNight offers 25+ local multiplayer games playable on Fire TV, mobile, web, and select smart TVs, using smartphones as controllers via QR code.
Jeff Gattis, general manager of Amazon Luna, said the redesign deepens Luna’s goal of simple, inclusive gaming, “GameNight takes even further the idea of easy access that’s core to the new Luna.”
GameNight’s lineup features Courtroom Chaos: Starring Snoop Dogg, an AI improv courtroom game from Amazon Game Studios, along with family titles like Angry Birds Flock Party, Draw & Guess, Jackbox Party Pack 9, Ticket to Ride, Exploding Kittens 2, and Clue, all built for quick, shared play.
GameNight Expands Luna’s Reach and Prime’s Entertainment Value
Prime members get a rotating library of 50+ titles, including Hogwarts Legacy, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and TopSpin 2K25. For more games, Luna Premium replaces Luna+ at $9.99 per month. Amazon also offers 50% off Prime for students, young adults, and eligible assistance users, with plans from $6.99 to $7.49 per month.
The subscription includes blockbuster games such as EA SPORTS FC 25, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and Batman: Arkham Knight.
Jamil Ghani, vice president of Worldwide Prime, said Luna aligns with Prime’s mission to bundle value and entertainment, “We’re excited to make gaming more accessible for families to play together with no special device needed.”
The redesigned Luna expands Amazon’s footprint in the $250 billion gaming market, offering an accessible alternative to consoles and PCs. Now in 13 countries, it strengthens Amazon’s entertainment ecosystem and boosts competition with Xbox Cloud Gaming and GeForce Now.
