Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Sets New Steam Player Record

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora has recorded a sharp resurgence on Steam, quadrupling its previous peak concurrent player count more than two years after release, according to SteamDB. The Ubisoft title crossed 10K concurrent players for the first time over the weekend, setting multiple new records following the release of new DLC tied to the latest Avatar film.

Before this month, the game’s highest concurrent player count on Steam stood at 2,614 players, a record set near the beginning of 2025. That figure has been repeatedly surpassed over the past 10 days. 

In the afternoon of 27 Dec. 2025, the game hit 10,634 concurrent players, breaking its own record for the fifth time since the From the Ashes DLC launched. SteamDB later reported an all-time peak of 12,496 concurrent players on Dec. 29, 2025.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Steam Player Count Surges After New DLC

The renewed interest appears linked to new DLC tied to Avatar: Fire and Ash, which recently arrived in theaters. The timing of the update and the film’s release has brought in both new and returning players after the game’s quiet launch window.

While the surge may be temporary, Frontiers of Pandora is still posting elevated numbers. Early on Sunday, Dec. 28, the game recorded nearly 5K concurrent players, almost double its previous lifetime peak, underscoring the scale of the short-term rebound for a single-player title.

For Ubisoft, the performance stands out on Steam, with Star Wars Outlaws, Skull and Bones, and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown all peaking well below Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.
