Bengaluru's fighting game community and Marvel fans have a reason to show up on Aug 8, 2026. Daijobu Lifestyle and Esports is hosting Versus Experience: Marvel Tōkon Edition at CONCEPT01 in Koramangala. It is a launch celebration for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, running for seven hours from the evening of August 8.
The event is open to all ages and sits at the intersection of competitive gaming, cosplay, arcade culture, and anime fandom that Versus Experience events have built their identity around. The upcoming game features beloved Marvel characters, whose fans can get together and celebrate the game’s launch.
Versus Experience: Marvel Tōkon Edition Event Overview
The event features a tournament bracket playable on Japanese arcade machines, PS5 controller stations for hands-on time with the game, and a cosplay contest running alongside DJ sets throughout the evening. Food and drinks will be available on site. Attendees can bring their own PS5 controllers or use the ones provided at the venue.
Marvel Tōkon launches two days before on Aug 6, making this a proper launch celebration rather than a preview event. For Bengaluru's fighting game scene, it should be a fun time to get together. Arc System Works titles have historically built strong local communities for their games like BlazBlue and Guilty Gear. A dedicated launch event gives the local player base an early first look at what the online scene is likely to build around.
About Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls
Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is a 4v4 tag-team fighter developed by Arc System Works and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It launches on PS5 and PC, running on Unreal Engine 5. The game is built around building a four-character Marvel squad, with two active fighters at a time and the full team unlocking through Wall Breaks and round losses.
The launch roster stands at 20 playable characters grouped into five themed teams, mixing familiar names like Iron Man, Captain America, Spider-Man, and Wolverine, with niche picks including Danger and Peni Parker. A Year 1 Character and Stage Pass has been announced, adding at least four more fighters post-launch, with Phoenix Cyclops confirmed as the first DLC character.
