India Set for Up to Five International Slots at PMWC & PMGC 2026
PMWC and PMGC 2026 slot allocation expands India’s global PUBG Mobile qualification pathways.
Highlights
- India’s global representation expands to five slots across PMWC and PMGC 2026.
- Two PMWC slots confirmed; Three PMGC slots allocated via BMSD and BMIC pathways.
- BMIC qualifiers face Korea and Japan teams for final PMGC berths.
India will have up to five international slots across PUBG Mobile’s premier global tournaments in 2026. PUBG Mobile has confirmed two slots for India at the PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC) 2026. Three additional slots are allocated for the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2026 through separate qualification routes. This is part of the official 2026 PUBG Mobile esports roadmap.
The increased slot count expands India’s participation across both mid-season and year-end global events.
India’s PMWC 2026 and PMGC 2026 Qualification Structure
For PMWC 2026, India will field two teams at the tournament, which will be held as part of the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026. Qualification will take place through Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2026. Earlier, Krafton India’s roadmap had listed only one PMWC slot via BMPS, but the latest confirmation increases India’s allocation to two teams.
At PMGC 2026, India has one confirmed slot through Battlegrounds Mobile India Showdown (BMSD) 2026, securing direct qualification to the championship. Two additional PMGC slots remain available via Battlegrounds Mobile India International Cup (BMIC) 2026.
Qualification through BMIC will involve Indian teams competing against squads from Korea and Japan. The cross-regional structure makes BMIC a decisive pathway for the remaining PMGC berths.
The 2026 competitive season will also operate under a revised PMGC points system. Teams will earn points from PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) Season 1 (Indonesia, June), PMWC 2026 (Riyadh, August), and PMGO Season 2 (October). Cumulative placements across these events will influence PMGC qualification. Registration for the Road to PMGO opens in February and closes in early March.
With five potential international slots across PMWC and PMGC, India will have expanded representation across PUBG Mobile's global circuit in 2026. Qualification outcomes at BMPS, BMSD, and BMIC will determine the final teams representing the region internationally.
