Recording a remarkable 99% jump in revenue, Indian gaming giant Nazara Technologies Limited has announced its financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026 (Q1 FY26). The company posted revenues of ₹498.8 crore ($59.86 million), nearly doubling from the same period last year, driven by its sharp focus on an intellectual property-led (IP) gaming strategy.

Nazara’s EBITDA rose 90% to ₹47.4 crore ($5.69 million), driven by the core gaming business, which achieved a healthy 24.4% EBITDA margin. Its net profit (PAT) soared 118% to ₹51.3 crore ($6.16 million), highlighting Nazara’s ability to generate sustainable profits even while investing heavily for growth.

The company’s growth momentum was led by key gaming titles, including Fusebox Games, Animal Jam, and Curve Games. Nazara’s dedicated Centers of Excellence, focusing on user acquisition and data analytics, played a critical role in optimizing audience engagement and monetization.

“We are already seeing early results from our sharpened focus on IP-led gaming,” said Nitish Mittersain, Joint Managing Director and CEO of Nazara Technologies. “This momentum allows us to reinvest in expanding our IP portfolio and strengthening our user acquisition capabilities to drive sustained growth. We have also bolstered our leadership team with recent appointments bringing deep industry expertise.”

In a strategic move to enhance market liquidity and investor participation, the Nazara board approved a subdivision of equity shares, splitting each ₹4 share into two ₹2 shares. Additionally, a 1:1 bonus share issue was sanctioned, granting one bonus share for every existing share held, subject to shareholder approval.

Nazara operates several popular games such as Love Island and World Cricket Championship, alongside offline gaming ventures like Funky Monkeys and Smaaash Entertainment. The company also runs Datawrkz, a digital advertising technology platform. With a global footprint across India, North America, and other key markets, Nazara continues to build a strong gaming ecosystem backed by proprietary IP and publishing capabilities.
