Amazon shuts down King of Meat, ending the co-op dungeon platformer on April 9, 2026, six months after release. The title was developed by Glowmade and published by Amazon Game Studios. It launched on Oct 2, 2025, and has now been delisted, with servers scheduled to go offline permanently.

Glowmade confirmed the decision on its website, stating the game “has unfortunately not found the audience we hoped for.” As a result, the studio said it has decided to conclude further investment in the project.

Players can access all existing content until April 9, 2026. However, as of Feb 23, 2026, the game is unavailable on storefronts, and in-game stamp purchases have been disabled.

No additional updates or fixes are planned.

King of Meat Shutting Down Amid Player Base Decline

The King of Meat refund announcement confirms full refunds for all players who purchased the base game and any stamp packs. Refunds will be handled by platform providers, including Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox. In most cases, they are expected to process automatically between Feb. 24 and April 9, 2026.

Users who do not receive refunds by the shutdown date are instructed to contact platform support directly.

Meanwhile, SteamDB data lists an all-time peak of 320 concurrent players roughly three months ago. The title supported Windows and utilized EasyAntiCheat and Epic Online Services.

In its message, Glowmade thanked the community for its enthusiasm and feedback. The April 2026 shutdown ends the game’s short lifecycle following limited player uptake.
