KRAFTON India Announces BGIS 2026 LAN Finals in Chennai
KRAFTON India to host BGIS 2026 LAN Finals in Chennai with revised format and strengthened anti-cheat measures.
Highlights
- BGIS 2026 LAN Finals to be held at the Chennai Trade Centre.
- Rank-based group draw format to determine team placements.
- A strengthened anti-cheat framework has been introduced following the BGIS 2025 controversies.
KRAFTON India has confirmed that the BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA Series (BGIS) 2026 LAN Finals will be held at the Chennai Trade Centre. The event is scheduled to take place from March 27 to 29, 2026.
Swiggy Scenes is the official ticketing partner for the event. In addition, a new rank-based group draw format will shape the road to the finals. The official Group Draw will be livestreamed on Feb 25, 2026, at 7 pm on the KRAFTON India Esports YouTube channel.
As outlined by the company, the revised format states that ranks, rather than team names, will be randomly drawn and assigned to Groups A, B, and C. After the quarterfinals, teams will be placed into groups according to the rank they earn, which means each finishing position will determine how the group stage line-up is formed.
BGIS 2026 LAN Finals Mark Fifth Edition Milestone
The Chennai LAN Finals will conclude the fifth edition of BGIS, a key platform for BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA (BGMI) players.
Chennai was selected for its strong gaming community and robust event infrastructure. The city is also emerging as a hub for large-scale technology and entertainment events. Likewise, KRAFTON India noted hosting the finals in Chennai reflects its push to expand offline esports and regional fan access.
The company has also implemented a strengthened anti-cheat framework for BGIS 2026 as part of its continued commitment to fair play.
The announcement sets up the final leg of the country’s flagship BGIS tournament. BGIS 2025 was marked by hacking claims and disputed disqualifications. The revised format and strengthened anti-cheat measures now shift the focus to competitive integrity in Chennai.
