Krafton India CEO Sean Hyunil Sohn has unveiled a comprehensive esports roadmap for 2026 that aims to build a structured pathway for India’s gaming talent from grassroots circuits to the global stage. The plan includes expanded versions of Krafton’s flagship esports tournaments, BGIS, BMPS, BMSD, and BMIC, spreading across multiple Indian cities to create a unified ecosystem fostering discovery, skill development, and worldwide exposure.

Expanded BGMI Tournaments and City-Wide Competition

The 2026 roadmap will feature larger, more inclusive renditions of popular tournaments like the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS), Pro Series (BMPS), Showdown (BMSD), and International Cup (BMIC). By expanding to several cities, Krafton aims to bring high-level esports closer to players and fans across India, bridging amateur circuits with professional leagues and offering ample opportunities to rise in competitive rankings.
