South Korean game developer and publisher NCSoft has acquired a 67% majority stake in Singapore-based mobile publisher Indygo Group for $103.8 million USD, advancing its expansion into the casual mobile market. The transaction, reported by PocketGamer.biz, makes NCSoft the company’s largest shareholder.

The deal includes full ownership of Vietnam-based casual and puzzle game developer Lihuhu, a wholly owned Indygo subsidiary. NCSoft said Lihuhu will support its casual mobile strategy across Asia and act as “a hub for casual game development in the Asian region.”

NCSoft co-CEO, Park Byung-moo, said the acquisition establishes “a growth foothold in the global mobile casual game market,” enabling the company to scale its portfolio through regional development and live operations.

NCSoft Takes Majority Stake in Indygo Group to Accelerate Casual Mobile Expansion

In August 2025, the company launched its Mobile Casual Center to unify game development, publishing, data sharing, and live operations under a single structure.

In a LinkedIn post, Anel Ceman, senior vice president of mobile casual games at NCSoft, said Vietnam is “growing in mobile casual,” citing strong development talent and faster iteration cycles.

Ceman added that the Indygo and Lihuhu transaction marks “just the beginning of NC’s mobile casual expansion,” with increased investment planned as momentum for both hybrid and casual games is expected to build as 2026 approaches.

NCSoft is also planning to acquire the Korean mobile casual studio, Springcomes. While the deal value was not disclosed, the studio is projecting KRW 28B (~$18.9M) in revenue for 2025, more than double year-on-year.

Beyond Asia, NCSoft said it is in M&A (mergers and acquisitions) talks with European studios, alongside discussions on partnerships. The company has also secured a perpetual license for analytics and live operations software from a European firm and acquired an unnamed Slovenian casual studio to strengthen its technical platform.
