Riot Games CEO Dylan Jadeja has joined the Board of Directors of Best Buy Co., Inc. (NYSE:BBY). The decision became effective immediately based on a formal press release from Best Buy on Dec 1, 2025.
Riot Games, best known for hosting the League of Legends, had welcomed Jadeja as the company’s Chief Financial Officer in 2011. He took on the role of Chief Operating Officer in 2014. Three years later, in 2017, he was promoted to President and was later named the CEO of the gaming company in July 2023. Before joining Riot, Jadeja worked for Goldman Sachs' Consumer Retail Coverage unit.
Best Buy notes Jadeja having an "extensive knowledge and experience across strategy, finance, operations, digital and social content, and, of course, the gaming industry." His experience also lies in consumer brands, digital commerce, and global player communities. Corie Barry, CEO of Best Buy, said that with Jadeja on board, the company intends to boost its “omnichannel experiences” and open up new revenue streams.

Best Buy currently has over 1,000 shops in North America, with computing and gaming being major contributors to overall sales. With efforts like Marketplace and Best Buy Ads, the firm is adapting its retail strategy to facilitate future development in trade-ins, third-party items, and the digital goods industry.
According to industry analysts, this recent inclusion of gaming-experienced leadership from Riot Games, could assist Best Buy to compete in a market influenced by digital ecosystems and gaming-driven consumer behavior.
Jadeja joining Best Buy's board of directors will increase his influence in consumer electronics retail, a sector that combines hardware, software, and entertainment. In his public remarks, he praised Best Buy and highlighted their "evolution into a company that brings new technology to life, in stores, online, and in-home" as "incredibly compelling."
