- Player accounts and progress will transfer seamlessly.
- Yodo1 plans robust live service with new events and content.
The long-running mobile strategy game Transformers: Earth Wars is under new management, but for its global community, the publisher promises a smooth continuation of service. Just two months ago, in August 2025, China-based publisher Yodo1 officially took over the full publishing and development rights for the title under a new license from Hasbro.
For players on iOS and Android, the most important news is that the transition is designed to be seamless, with the new publisher confirming that all player accounts, progress, in-game purchases, alliances, and servers remain fully intact without disruption.
This major operational shift comes after the original developer, Space Ape Games, was absorbed into Supercell London early in 2025. This change prompted the need for a new operator, and Yodo1 was a natural successor, as it had already been successfully running Transformers: Earth Wars for the Chinese market.
The deal was a comprehensive transfer that included the game's complete code, all assets, and even key members of the original Space Ape development team, who have joined Yodo1 to support a smooth transition.
Yodo1 Pledges "Robust" Live-Service Future
Looking forward, Yodo1 has signalled a major commitment to the game, promising a "robust live-service approach" to development. Players can expect a diverse and comprehensive event grid, more frequent story-driven events, and a steady stream of new content and community-focused updates that respect the game's rich lore.
The company's goal is to not only deliver an immersive experience for current fans but also to expand the game's player base with ongoing support and fresh, innovative content.
This partnership is also a significant move to elevate the Transformers IP in the competitive mobile market. Yodo1 has a strong track record of blending brand integrity with commercial success, having previously orchestrated the highly successful Top War x Transformers crossover event.
That collaboration set record-breaking revenue and significantly boosted the game's App Store rankings. For instance, during the event's first phase, Top War's ranking in the US App Store jumped from 25 to 16, and in Japan, it rose from 73 to 45.
This expertise is expected to keep the iconic franchise vibrant and relevant for years to come. In related news, Space Ape Games, the original developer, recently took two of its own separate titles offline following its acquisition by Supercell.
