The event calls on developers, AI enthusiasts, and gamers from all corners of the globe to pioneer the next generation of gaming by integrating artificial intelligence in innovative ways.
This 48-hour hackathon, supported by industry giants Unity, Cerebral Valley, and Junction, will run from October 24th to 26th, 2025. To accommodate a global audience, the event will feature a rolling start, allowing creators from different time zones to participate seamlessly.
While the competition is open to anyone online, there will also be an exclusive in-person experience for 60 participants at Supercell's San Francisco office, offering a unique opportunity for networking and collaboration.
The 'AI Genesis' Hackathon Challenges Developers to Innovate
The "Supercell AI Genesis" hackathon is structured around three core challenges, giving participants a wide array of creative avenues to explore. Teams can choose to either develop a brand-new game powered by AI, reinvent a classic game with modern AI features, or build an innovative AI tool designed to enhance the game development process.
Teams of one to three people, regardless of their experience level, are invited to join the competition. To foster a collaborative and educational environment, Supercell has pledged to make all projects created during the event public and open-source.
Participants will receive invaluable mentorship from Supercell's own seasoned game developers and gain access to tools and support from Unity. The on-site attendees in San Francisco will also benefit from exclusive networking opportunities with industry leaders.
Top-performing teams will be awarded prizes including MacBooks, high-end GPUs, and dedicated office hours with Supercell’s AI team. Projects will be submitted and voted on through Junction’s platform.
Registration for this groundbreaking event is now open, and those interested can sign up on the official Supercell AI Genesis website. This event is a major opportunity for developers to showcase their skills and get feedback from one of the most successful mobile game companies in the world.
