Microsoft has officially pulled back the curtain on its massive Xbox Game Pass 2026 lineup for the first half of May, delivering an incredible wave of day-one releases and highly anticipated blockbusters. This fresh collection includes more than a dozen titles that span multiple genres, offering subscribers a mix of high-speed racing, brutal action, and quiet storytelling. The platform is clearly trying to maintain its momentum by providing a high volume of content for members to dive into right away.

The undisputed leader of the May pack is Forza Horizon 6, speeding into the library on May 19 as a day-one arrival. Taking the beloved racing festival to the breathtaking, neon-lit landscapes of Japan, players can become a racing legend with a massive open world and a roster of over 550 real-world cars. Close behind is the visceral action of DOOM: The Dark Ages. Landing on May 14, this prequel explores the dark medieval roots of the Doom Slayer’s unending fury and is expanding its availability by moving down to the Game Pass Premium tier.

On that same day, players can dive into the Subnautica 2 game preview, taking the highly requested underwater survival loop to an all-new alien planet with brand-new four-player co-op support.

Artistic Adventures and Cozy Indie Games

Beyond the giant blockbusters, the service is leaning heavily into artistic, diverse, and cozy experiences to ensure there is something for every type of player. On May 6, the action-heavy Ben 10 Power Trip and the tactical PvPvE shooter Wildgate will join as brand-new entries for all subscribers.

Meanwhile, the challenging souls-like Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, the extreme sports sequel Descenders Next, and the cosmic biking adventure Wheel World are officially being brought down to the Premium tier to expand the library for those members. Achievement hunters should definitely look at Ben 10 or Wheel World, as both are relatively quick completions.

As the month progresses, players can look forward to the nostalgic narrative journey Mixtape on May 7, which captures the highs, lows, and mischief of adolescence with a vibe inspired by classic coming-of-age cinema. On May 11, the relaxing title Outbound lets up to four players source sustainable energy and live off the grid in a customizable van. The supernatural also gets some love on May 12 with Call of the Elder Gods, a Lovecraftian puzzle-heavy sequel to the critically acclaimed Call of the Sea

For those who prefer a darker tone, Black Jacket drops on the same day, offering a high-stakes, painterly spin on blackjack set in a purgatorial world where restless souls wager their coins and cheating is fully encouraged. Later in the wave, the space sim Elite Dangerous makes its return to the catalog, offering nearly endless gameplay for those who want to lose themselves in a futuristic galaxy-sized sandbox.

As always with the Game Pass revolving door, a few older games will be rotating out of the library on May 15 to make room for this heavy-hitting lineup. If you want to tie up any loose ends, you have a little time left to finish up Galacticare, Go Mecha Ball, Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo, Paw Patrol Rescue Wheels: Championship, and Planet of Lana. Remember, you can use your standard membership discount to save up to 20% and keep them in your digital library forever.
