  • BTS’ ARIRANG stays steady at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 for a sixth straight week; BTS album sales units attained a figure of 56,000 with only a small decline.
  • BTS’ new album 2026 continues to maintain its global streaming strength, staying at No. 2 on Spotify with Swim experiencing multi-market success.
  • BTS’ comeback after military service depicts a synergy between its World Tour and digital performance, resulting in a stable and extended return cycle.

BTS continues to dominate with an iron grip on the global music market with its fifth studio album, ARIRANG. Notably, the album has recently extended its chart run on the upper tiers of the Billboard 200. According to the chart preview for the current week that will be ending on May 9, the band’s post-hiatus venture gained the No. 5 spot, securing six consecutive weeks of success in the Top 5 echelon.

BTS ARIRANG Album Current Billboard 200 Performance & Sales Trend

ARIRANG reportedly moved 56,000 equivalent album units in its most recent tracking period, dropping by a single spot from the earlier week. This minimal dip in BTS' Billboard 200 ranking depicts a natural cooling of initial sales, however, ARIRANG continues to be historically significant. Released on March 20, the 14-track project had earlier become first of its league to spend three successive weeks atop the Billboard 200. Notably, the chart ranks the albums on the basis of a metric that involves aggregates of physical and digital sales along with streaming and download data.

Latest ARIRANG BTS Chart Position on Spotify and Streaming Numbers

BTS’ lead is also visible on various digital platforms; ARIRANG is experiencing its sixth run at No. 2 on Spotify’s Weekly Top Albums Global chart. However, for the Spotify India’s Top Songs chart, tracks from the Dhurandhar franchise have taken over the BTS album’s initial success. Nevertheless, on the Spotify’s Top Songs chart of Pakistan, Swim, BTS’ lead single from ARIRANG is holding steady at No. 42, with 160,430 plays. Notably, the track is also maintaining its high velocity performance on Spotify’s Global Songs list by ranking at No. 2, while all of the album’s tracks simultaneously charted success on Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Global, says K-media outlets like The Korea Herald and Korea Times.

ARIRANG World Tour and Streaming Offers BTS Collaborative Success

This BTS ARIRANG chart performance, on a global outlook, including those from emerging markets like India and Pakistan, is further bolstered by the band’s energetic return to the live concert circuit through its ARIRANG World Tour. After performances in Goyang (South Korea), Tokyo (Japan), Tampa (Florida, US) and El Paso (Texas, US), the septet is set to fly to Mexico City for a three-night residency, beginning this Thursday (May 7, 2026).

After converting their military hiatus into a high-stakes comeback narrative, BTS has overcome the usual “cool-off” period, which is common for many long-standing acts. The picture painted by the ARIRANG data showcases a foundational shift in how K-pop creations sustain momentum in the overseas Western market. As the ARIRANG world tour enters its Latin American leg, the coordinated movement between live visibility and streaming stability indicates that the BTS album will continue to chart success pretty well into this summer, at least.
