BTS-label HYBE has cemented its grip on the U.S. music market yet again as the band extends its historic chart run alongside its wave of multi-act entries on the latest Billboard rankings. The concurrent presence of HYBE’s veteran icons and rookie acts on significant American charts indicates an important milestone for the K-pop industry. Additionally, it also shows how HYBE’s successful diversified sub-label strategy is effectively scaling its global footprint.
BTS' ARIRANG Keeps Billboard Under Its Command
BTS' fifth studio album, ARIRANG held firm at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 for 14 weeks in the top tier. The release earlier made history as the first K-pop album to spend three consecutive weeks at No. 1. Also, data from tracking firm Luminate revealed that ARIRANG gained 3.8 billion global streams across platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music within its first eight weeks. On the other hand, the group's overall catalog surpassed 5.3B streams in the same timeframe. Simultaneously, their lead single Swim ranked on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 63, marking one of the longest concurrent album-and-single chart runs of 2026.
HYBE's New Generation Matches Veteran Firepower
Apart from the success of HYBE’s flagship group, newer artists from the label have showcased a strong presence across multiple charts. For instance, Iconic By Mistake, a collaborative single by girl groups Le Sserafim, Illit, and Katseye, ranked at No. 43 on the Hot 100, following a successful debut at No. 38 on the same chart. The song also peaked at No. 22 on the UK Official Singles Chart.
Notably, Katseye, individually, also landed Pinky Up at No. 97 on the Hot 100, while placing Beautiful Chaos at No. 118 and SIS at No. 179 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Meanwhile, BigHit Music's rookie artist Cortis marked an entry at No. 94 on the Billboard 200 with GreenGreen.
Jennie, KPop Demon Hunters Push the Genre Higher on Billboard
Other K-pop artists outside of HYBE have also shown deepening market penetration. For instance, BLACKPINK’s Jennie rose eight positions to attain the No. 10 rank on Billboard Hot 100 chart with Dracula, her collaborative track with Tame Impala. Additionally, the original soundtrack for the Netflix animated film KPop Demon Hunters jumped 11 spots to No. 16 on the Billboard 200, indicating that K-pop's appeal is progressively being driven by cross-platform media partnerships.
