BTS Earns Platinum Status in France for Fourth Time with Arirang
After earning Gold, BTS just earned Platinum in France with Arirang, marking a key step in success, unlike its earlier albums, which took significant time to achieve the mark in the European country.
- BTS Arirang attained 100,000 sales in France, says SNEP, the country’s highest music authority.
- BTS album Arirang France certification comes as it also moves massive units in the east, particularly in Japan.
- BTS’ new album Arirang’s success is also depicted in ground reality, where demand is high for their Arirang world tour, currently in its North American leg.
BTS’ Arirang has once again confirmed its place in France. The country’s top music authority, Syndicat national de l’édition phonographique (SNEP), has announced that the group’s fifth studio album has officially secured the Platinum certification. This is the fourth time that BTS has crossed this 100,000-unit mark in the French region.
BTS Arirang platinum certification France: Which BTS songs topped the country before?
Although Arirang joins the earlier hits like Map of the Soul: 7, Proof, and Love Yourself: Answer, the speed of BTS’ latest win is grabbing the attention of industry analysts. Historically, French certifications for the group arrived a little late. Notably, both Proof and Map of the Soul: 7 needed fourteen months to reach Platinum status. Contrastingly, Arirang is sprinting. The album was certified Gold in just six days after its March 20 release. This indicated a massive consolidation of BTS’ "album power" in a region that has usually been protective of its own creations.

BTS’ Arirang platinum certification in France is merely one aspect of a greater logistical conquest. Moving towards the east, the group has even bigger popularity. For instance, the Recording Industry Association of Japan has already labeled Arirang with a Triple Platinum status. As reported by the Korea JoongAng Daily, the album handled more than 750,000 shipments in Japan in just 11 days.

K-pop group BTS’ Arirang France music chart achievement comes amidst world tour run
BTS’ new album Arirang’s success on the charts equally matches on the ground energy. The Arirang world tour, a relentless 85-show marathon across 34 countries, is currently moving into its high-end North American leg. After launching the tour domestically in Goyang with a regional stint in Tokyo, the group recently performed in Tampa, Florida, USA, to open their stadium run in North America.
As the tour moves through the United States and preps for the forthcoming stops in Mexico, Spain, Belgium, Britain, Germany, and Canada, the narrative is no longer just about the music. And coupled with BTS’ Arirang’s platinum status in Europe, it showcases that global infrastructure like the one backing BTS, can turn a comeback release into a multi-continent, multi-platinum phenomenon. As seen through repeated certifications and a booming K-pop physical sales export which recently touched the $120 million USD mark, Arirang era isn't just a tour, but a rapid revenue generator and a cult creator in this dynamic pop economy.
